1. AAPS Performance The Washtenaw Millage is essential in protecting our children’s success. Despite $16M in cuts over the past 4 years, our children have improved performance across all major areas that are tested. The performance indicators in the charts that follow is a snapshot of what we’re protecting by passing this millage: Our students scores 20% higher than the state composite, which is significant as 98% of our 08/09 students participated in the ACT, reflecting broad achievement.
2. Advanced Class Participation and Performance More than half of our 11 th and 12 th Graders participate in advanced classes, and demonstrate excellent performance. 61% of our 08/09 class participated in accelerated programs. Students are performing well across a wide variety of accelerated programs.
3. Graduation Rate One of our most important performance measures is our graduation rate. The AAPS continues to improve our graduation rate, which was 16% higher than the average for Michigan and 26% higher than the national average.
