3. Research Problem
To achieve Sustainable Development goal, the meaning of Sustainable
Development should be clear among all individuals. It is not only the
responsibility of the Sovereign to implement Sustainable Development Goals;
moreover, it is the responsibility of all individuals. To achieve Sustainable
Development Goal, all have to make efforts and from initial level, the awareness
is required. To check the ground level reality the study is significant enough. So,
the awareness about Sustainable Development Goal is the need of the hour.
There are 799 Universities, 39071 colleges and 11923 Stand Alone Institutions
listed on AISHE web portal (All India Survey on Higher Education by MHRD), if the
education transacted to the students includes the gist about SDG and how their
effort can contribute in SDG. It will definitely bring a change. We need to nourish
our students for the same. As per the MHRD report of All India survey on Higher
Education (AISHE 2015-16), there are 616 colleges in Jaipur (including
Government and Private Institutes

• Undergraduate students are aware about
the meaning of Sustainable Development
but are not clear about Sustainable
Development Goals which are adopted by
India

• 42% respondents were boys studying in
undergraduate course of VGU and Rajasthan
University and 58 % respondent were girls
10. 1.Are you familiar with the meaning of Environment Sustainability?
Out of 500 respondents, 98.1 % were aware about the meaning of
Environment Sustainability. Only 1.9 % respondents were unaware about
environment sustainability.
2.Are you aware about Sustainable Development Goal?
73.2 % respondents were aware about Sustainable Development Goals
and 24.2 were unaware about Sustainable Development Goals but they
heard the term but were not clear about it. 2.5 % respondents were
completely unaware.
3.Improving humans’ fitness and opportunities for an amazing
lifestyles make a contribution to sustainable development.
28.7 % of respondents strongly agreed that Improving people’s health
and opportunities for a good life contribute to sustainable development
and 58.6 % agreed for the same. Moreover 10.2 % respondent heard
about such thing but are not clear about it and 2.5 % were unaware.
11. 4.Reducing water intake is essential for sustainable improvement?
86 % respondents were aware about the significance of water for achieving
Sustainability and 14 % were unaware.
5.Preserving nature isn't always important for sustainable development.
87.9 % respondent knew that preserving nature is essential for achieving SDG
and 12.1 % were not even aware about it.
6.A way of life in which conflicts are resolved peacefully via discussion is
necessary for sustainable development.
64.9 % respondents are aware about Culture which prevails in diversified
society and 35.1 % are totally unaware.
12. 7. Sustainable development needs that we human beings lessen all
kinds of waste.
83.4 % are aware about it.6.3 % are unaware about it and 10.2 % heard
about it but are not clear.
8. Respecting human rights is essential for sustainable
development
66.2 % of respondents were actually aware about Human rights and its
significance in achieving SDG.27.4 % were not sure and 6.4 %
respondents were unaware.
9. To acquire sustainable improvement, all the people in the
international have to have get right of entry to true training.
81.6 % respondent were aware and 1.9% were unaware and 16.6 % were
not clear.
13. 10. To gain sustainable improvement, companies ought to deal
with their personnel, customers and providers in a fair manner.
65 % respondent were aware about this but 8.9 % were unaware. Apart
from that 26.1 % were not sure about it.
11. Preserving many unique herbal species is vital for sustainable
development.
85.4 % respondent are found aware out of 500. 1.9 % were found
unaware and 12.7 % were not clear.
12. Wiping out poverty in the global is necessary for sustainable
improvement
73.9 % were found aware but 5.8 %, a very small fraction was not aware
about it 20.4 % were not sure that eradication of poverty can
contribute to SDG or not.
14. 13. Sustainable improvement needs that we switch to renewable
assets (renewable sources include, for instance, wind power, solar
panels, ethanol, cardboard packaging.)
86.6 5 respondents were found aware about it and 10.8% were not sure
about the connection of renewable energy with sustainable
development and 2.5 % were unaware.
14. Sustainable development needs that people apprehend how
the financial system features.
69.4 % respondents were found aware about it and 5.1 % were unaware
and 24.2 % were unaware about the economy and Sustainable
Development.
15. “Achieve gender equality and empower all women and
girls”-Is this Goal adopted by India?
Only 76.4% were aware about it. 17.2 were not sure and rest 6.4 % were
found unaware.
15. 16. Reinforcing girls’ and women’s rights around the world is necessary for
sustainable development.
73.2% respondents were aware about importance of women right and 21.7% respondents
were not sure and 5.1% were totally unaware.
17. Economic development is necessary for sustainable development.
78.3 % were aware about the relation of Sustainable development and economic
development but 15.3 respondent were not clear about the same and 5.7% respondent
were completely unaware about it.
16. Suggestion
Meaning of sustainability
should be included in
curriculum of Institutions
Assignment should be given
on social campaign or
discovering new facts in
achieving SDG through
research.
Seminar or conferences in
which only students can
participate should be
organised to increase
awareness level and their
participation will enhance the
meaning of Sustainability and
will help in achieving SDG.
UGC should make subject
compulsory on Sustainability
like Environment science
17. Conclusion
The meaning of optimum utilisation
of resources is explained and on its
basis the connection of Sustainable
development goals is tested through
other parameters by questionnaire.
379 respondents were well aware
about Sustainability and
Sustainable Development Goals
with their parameters in
achieving it and 121 were found
unaware.
Students are future assets in State;
their effort can change the State.
So, well knowledge about SDG in
Students will change India and will
help India in attaining SDG by 2030.
Even these 121 unaware
respondents if worked on can turn
themselves into aware one and
they can also take responsibility
on their shoulders for achieving
SDG.
