MOTIVATION/BACKGROUND:
• Regenerative braking deals with the energy problem
occurred in the motors of automobiles. As brakes are
applied to stop the motor some energy is released as
dissipated energy.
• To overcome this issue regenerative braking was
introduced.
• It is based on the mechanism which stores the
dissipated energy then boosts for utilization purpose.

INTRODUCTION/ABSTRACT/OVERVIEW:
• Presently what the world needs is a method or a technology that saves
energy from getting wasted..
• When driving any motor, a great amount of kinetic energy is wasted
when conventional brakes are applied.
• The main aim of this work was to develop a product that stores the
energy which is normally lost during braking, and reuses it.
• The use of regenerative braking system in motors provides us the
means to balance the kinetic energy of the machine to some extent
which is lost during the process of braking.

DESCRIPTION/METHODOLOGY:
• The power supply is made to convert alternating current
(AC) into direct current (DC).
• Manual boost regulator is made for testing purpose.
• Arduino programming for boost regulation.
• Then load is connected in the end.

FEATURES:
• The electrical energy we are getting has low DC voltages
which are stepup by using booster and then feed into the
batteries.
• Motor starts to act as generator.
• Makes system more efficient.

• For recovering the kinetic energy of motor .
• Extends driving range.
• Increase the reliability of system.
FUTURE WORK:
• Arduino programming for boost regulation.
• Boost regulator circuit design.
• Adding tachometer to the system.
• Report writing

  • 2. 2 MOTIVATION/BACKGROUND: • Regenerative braking deals with the energy problem occurred in the motors of automobiles. As brakes are applied to stop the motor some energy is released as dissipated energy. • To overcome this issue regenerative braking was introduced. • It is based on the mechanism which stores the dissipated energy then boosts for utilization purpose.
  • 3. 3 INTRODUCTION/ABSTRACT/OVERVIEW: • Presently what the world needs is a method or a technology that saves energy from getting wasted.. • When driving any motor, a great amount of kinetic energy is wasted when conventional brakes are applied. • The main aim of this work was to develop a product that stores the energy which is normally lost during braking, and reuses it. • The use of regenerative braking system in motors provides us the means to balance the kinetic energy of the machine to some extent which is lost during the process of braking.
  • 4. 4 DESCRIPTION/METHODOLOGY: • The power supply is made to convert alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC). • Manual boost regulator is made for testing purpose. • Arduino programming for boost regulation. • Then load is connected in the end.
