2. SAINT GEORGE’S IMAGE
• On the sixth of May, 2013 the residents of the village Pharmkas
went to the church and saw with lot of surprise on the image of
saint George a liquid that smelled myrrh. The bishop of Tamassos
went with some scientists to check and confirm that the causes of
this phenomenon weren’t natural. The bishop said that after this
phenomenon the image was too heavy for the transportation
during the litany that they needed six men to hold it, something
that never been done before.
3. VIRGIN MARY THE ODIGITRIA’S IMAGE
• At the monastery of Stavrovouni an image of Virgin Mary the
Odigitria started weeping on the eighth of February,1997. A lady
called Meropi Panagiotou was the first person who saw this
miracle.
• From then thousands people from all over Cyprus and overseas
went to the monastery to see the weeping image until the eighth of
May, when it stopped weeping.
