Creativity is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality.
Creativity is characterized by the ability to perceive the world in new ways, to
find hidden patterns, to make connections between seemingly unrelated
phenomena, and to generate solutions. Creativity involves two processes:
thinking, then producing. If you have ideas but don’t act on them, you are
imaginative but not creative.
So intelligence matters, it demonstrates your ability to gather
knowledge and effectively use it. Creativity is the ability to go beyond the
intelligence frame and capitalize on seemingly random connections of
concepts.
Differences Between Intelligence and Creativity
Intelligence certainly plays a part in creative thinking creativity is a form
of intelligence. Not all individuals have a creative nature or the ability to see
things differently. Intelligence’s relation to creativity one that is vital for not
only understanding creative thinking.
For example, a
songs has a creative nature that not everyone has. Thus to me it is a form of
intelligence.
Intelligence is classically defined as “the ability to acquire and utilize
knowledge.” In testing circumstances, an Intelligence Quotient (IQ) is gauged
by one’s ability to utilize information gained historically.
Creativity is the ability to come up with new ideas through a mental
process of connecting existing concepts. The ideas don’t have to be
revolutionary (which is a common misconception many people have about
creative thinking), they just have to be new for the thinker.
A few kids in a large group are not that intelligent than others. They are
not able to grasp things so easily. It is because they have not taken interest
and have not tried to improve their knowledge. It is very hard to define
intelligence because no one can measure intelligence. On the other hand,
creativity is a phenomenon where one tries to create something new or
valuable. It is the ability to cause, to exist, or to create something of subjective
value. In creativity, intelligence plays a very important role. One cannot create
anything if he is not perceived to associate with intelligence. It is the process
of producing something original and worthwhile.
There are different types of intelligence: Linguistic Intelligence,
Logicomathmatical Intelligence, Spatial Intelligence, Music Intelligence,
Bodily-kinesthetic Intelligence, Interpersonal Intelligence, Naturalistic
Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Sales Intelligence, Defense Intelligent and
many more... creativity while there is only one.
