3. 1.Only 2% of show on
right side of curve made
into “Highly addictive
list” in which we are
ardent to receive the
next episodes
2.Bulge in the curve that
defines shows that aren’t
really good and not that
bad though and do not
really excite us for
‘What is Next?’
6. Roy Price is a Senior Executive with Amazon Studios made
the first episode for 8 shows and put them live on the
internet for free for millions of viewers to watch and collected
millions of data points i.e what part they skipped and what
they watched again.Based on the points.they made “ ALPHA
HOUSE” but turned out to be mediocre TV show of rating 7.5
9. Instead of holding a competition, the
team went into looking at all the data
they already had about their
viewers,their behaviors and
likes,favorite actors and
producers.Once they brought all the
pieces together, then emerged the
very successful a drama series,
“House of Cards.” Netflix nailed it
with House of cards as it got a 9.1
rating on the IMDB Television Series
Data Curve.
Ted Sarandos, CCO
at Netflix also
used data but in a
different way
13. Data should be used to break
a big problem into smaller
ones and then analysing all
the information gathered
about those small problems
but to put those information
back together to make a
decision one should rely on
faith, brain, expertise
Data Data is certainly a
massively useful tool for
better decision making
But things go in the wrong
direction when this data starts
to drive those decisions.
