About computer
A computer is a programmable machine.
The first electronic digital computers were
developed between 1940 and 1945 in the United
 Kingdom and United States
Today is most often used to refer to the desktop
and laptop computers that most people use.
Computer Structure

 CPU Mainboard

 RAM Structure Power Supply

Hard disk Case
Example of a Computer Structure
CPU
        (Central Processing Unit)
                    )
It is the core of a computer.
Speed -> GHz
1G ~ 1,000 MHz
1M = 1Million / second
RAM (Random Access Memory)
Act as a temporary Storage.
All data stored in memory are volatile.
Memory Size is around 256MB / 512MB /1GB/
 2GB
Classification Of RAM

             RAM

Static RAM Dynamic RAM
Advantage Disadvantage

              Cheaper Slower
Dynamic RAM Low power Needs refreshing
              High Density

              Faster More Expensive
Static RAM No need refresh Using more power
                                 Low density
Hard Disk
Used to stored data permanently.
Different Interface :
 (Speed : ATA < SATA < SCSI)
Main Board / Mother Board (MB)

Provide a platform to connecting all the
                   devices.
(Keyboard / Mouse / Power / CPU / Memory / Hard Disk / Floppy
                   Disk / Display Card etc)
I/O Device & Interface
1. ATA / SATA /SCSI (For Hard Disk)
2. Parallel Port or LPT Port (For Printer)
3. COM Port (For Modem)
4. RJ45 Socket (For Network)
5. PS/2 (For Keyboard / Mouse)
6. D-Sub / DVI (For Monitor)
7. USB (All compatible device)

Power Supply
Power Supply convert the A.C. Voltage to Lower
D.C. Voltage which is suitable for Computer.
Case
Case is used to place the main board and the
 power supply.
Most case have
 external USB connection.
Operation System
An operating system (OS) is a collection of
 software that manages computer hardware
resources and provides common services for
 computer programs.
