6. LIMITATION OF FREE SOFTWARE
Free packages all do either web cam video or
screen video, but not both at the same time.
Can use a video editing program to bring them
together if you wish.
7. FREE VIDEO EDITING SOFTWARE
• iMovie (mac)
• Windows Movie Maker (windows)
These either come with the computer or are free to
download. There are many others on the market.
8. BEST CASE SCENARIO
Software does both video and screen at same time
Camtasia
Screenflow
Jing Pro (not at same time, but within same
recording)
Unfortunately, these are not free programs
9. NEXT CASE SCENARIO
Program that will record both video and screen, but
not at the same time. This would allow for use of a
single program
Quicktime (mac only)
SMRecorder (windows) not mentioned because
it is poor quality; video is herky-jerky (perhaps with
updates)
10. LAST CASE SCENARIO
Mac is covered at this point, but for the pc, I had to
settle on using 2 programs… one for video and one
for screen recording:
