2. MONOPOLY PRACTICE
administrators, owners, and everyone associated with the
NCAA are benefiting from athletic competition. The only people
who do not benefit from the attention brought in to
this organization are the athletes themselves.
3. FAQ
Q: why are these athletes entitled to some compensation?
A: The athletes are generating the NCAA revenue, since they
are the one who bring the money they should be entitled to
some of it
Q: Do scholarships not cover all the expenses and the
necessities of the athlete during college?
A: A lot of full scholarships do not cover the complete cost of
attending college their are still other expenses college athletes
still have to pay
4. FAQ (cont...)
Q: why don't these athletes get a job
A: Simply, there is not enough time for them to have a job, go
to class, and participate in there athletic program
5. Athletic Scholarships are not enough
● Most "full scholarships" do not cover the full expense of 4
years of college.
● They have to pay for college related expenses
● Athletes pay up to $6,000
6. It take much of the Athlete's Time
● Players can not get work due to school and sport.
● If the athlete is dedicating about forty hours of their time
they should receive a bit of return
● coaches suede players to attend extra practices and
workouts during the summer, and through out the year.
● players are also students who do have finish assignments
just like other students, they are not exempted
7. NCAA takes all the profit
● these players rack in millions from profits
● coaches do not defend this because they are also paid,
keeping their mouths shut.
● if these athletes bring in all the money they should be
entitled to some of it.
● players have value, as scholarships prove that to be true
8. Opposition
● players do receive compensation in the form of scholarships
● why pay them if it is not a professional organization
● other students do have to pay for intuition while athletes do
not
9. Opposing opposition
players that are given scholarships are still under the poverty
line. The "full scholarships" do not cover the entire expense of
schooling
If these players are going to school and participating in their
sport there is no time to get a job and make profit. These
players dedicate time just like an employed students.
The people who these athletes are playing for take all the
money and do not give it to the players any share of it. Though
if it as not for these athletes generating all the attention where
would the money come from
10. My standing point
It does not really matter where I stand. I am just saying time is
something that matters the most in life and these athletes are
dedicating their time to an organization that really cares for
them and views them as nothing but tools that they use in their
scheme. It is not right to deny these players a part of what
should be theirs
