2. Perform preventative maintenance on flow, temperature, pressure, level and analytical equipment
at prescribed intervals. Zero calibrate and check for pluggage. Diagnose problems with instrument
or process condition. Repair instruments per vendor documentation. Check process connections for
pluggage or obstruction. Calibrate instrument per specifications. Return equipment back to service.
Loop check instrument back to the control room. Tune loops. Check operation of DCS equipment
versus programmed information. Program, troubleshoot, and repair problems diagnosed. Use PLC
interface and documents to troubleshoot plant shutdown systems. Troubleshoot instrument
problems and consult directly with instrument equipment vendors on problems for resolution.
Perform periodic (monthly) field inspections of instrumentation. Write notification on findings.
