Introduction: I’m Simon Hudson, the founder of Cloud2 and inventor of the very first out-of-the-box SharePoint intranet. Hadron!
I created Hadron because I thought the ground up, hardcore development model was failing. I also thought that the information architecture of most intranets was rubbish. And still is.
I believe that great intranets transform organisations, but that we were doing a lot of things wrong.
We still are…
But I’m not here to talk about me, or Hadron.
New technologies let us do new things.
While these are often incremental, occasionally something comes along that lets us rethink the whole approach.
So, today, Cloud2 are launching Evolve; a new Digital Workspace built on the latest Microsoft platform.
We are putting content, communications, business processes etc. where the users are.
With that, I’d like to introduce Martin Hutchinson, from Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, a leading trust in the GDE, Global Digital Exemplifier initiative within the NHS.
Martin will talk about their experience with intranets and how Evolve aims to address that.
