To celebrate the World Water Day the Czech team organised an excursion to Titanic Exhibition in Prague.

2. Story of Titanic
• Titanic was build within years 1911 and 1912
• It was in service only for 5 days. That is in days
10–15 April 1912
• It sank in 14 April 1912
• When it sank around 1500 people died thats
about 68% of all passangers.

3. Building of Titanic
• Titanics lenght was 269,1 metres and his
height was 53,3 metres plus 19,7 metres
deph.
• When Titanic was in build progress there
worked 15,000 people at the time.
• Lot of them was injured beacause they didn´t
wear helmets or gloves but some of them
have broken arms or legs beacause something
fall on them.

4. Passengers
• There were 3 classes. 1st was on top of boat. 2nd was in
midle. And 3rd was at the botom.
• There was approximetly 1317 passengers. That was 34%
female and 66% male.
• Most people who survived was from 1st and 2nd class
beacause they have lifeboats on their decks.
• Many of people of 3rd class died beacause they was at
the bottom of ship that cause they got slow on top of the
ship and didn´t get into lifeboats or died when boat
tilted and they fall and kill their self.

7. Lifeboats
• Titanic carried 20 lifeboats but it could carry
60 lifeboats and it could rescue 4,000 people.
• 14 of them can carry 65 people and 6 can
carry 47 people

8. Wreck
• Since its discovery, the wreck of Titanic has been
revisited numerous times by explorers, scientists,
filmmakers, tourists and salvagers, who have recovered
thousands of items from the debris field for
conservation and public display. The ship's condition
has deteriorated significantly in recent years, partly
due to accidental damage caused by submersibles but
mainly because of an accelerating rate of growth of
iron-eating bacteria on the hull. It has been estimated
that within the next 50 years the hull and structure
of Titanic will collapse entirely, eventually leaving only
the more durable interior fittings of the ship
intermingled with a pile of rust on the sea floor

9. Films
• There is lot of Titanic films. But you may know
very few of them.
• You may know film about Titanic from year
1997 with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate
Winslet beacause it´s most famous.

10. Prague Titanic exhibition
• When our teacher were telling us, that we will go
to Prague Titanic exhibition i was exited for lot of
models and stuff like that but it was somekind
like giant encyklopedia with lot of boards on walls
with informations about Titanic. But when you
arrived there, Staff from the exhibition gave you
boarding pass with name, where are you coming
from and things like that and on end of exhibition
you could find your name written on wall. Where
you could find if you died or if you survived.
Overall it was good exhibition and I liked it.
