OverDrive Listen is a new eAudio format, which allows you to borrow audiobooks and listen to them right in your browser. There are no downloads or software required; all you need is a compatible web browser.
2. What is Overdrive Listen:
• A format for audiobooks, which allows listening
directly in the browser
• Requires no software
• Saves you place and any bookmarks/notes
for future check outs.
• Unlike Overdrive Read, it cannot be
bookmarked for offline listening.
• Since it is streaming, use wifi instead of your
mobile data if you have a data cap
(Overdrive Listen can consumes a lot of data)
3. Will it work on my device?
• If you are using a computer, it works in most
internet browser as long as you have the most
recent version. Overdrive Listen works best in
the Google Chrome browser
• Works on Apple and Android devices, as long
as you have at least iOS 7 for Apple or 4.1
(Jelly Bean) for Android.
• Not currently supported for Kindle Fire devices
or Nook tablets.
4. 1) Check out an audiobook available in the OverDrive Listen
format.
5. 2) From the bookshelf select the “Listen (in your browser)” button.
6. 3) The audiobook will open in a new tab. Select the Play
button to start listening. Or select the Menu icon for more
options.

7. 4) The menu gives you a list of options:
a. Overview: Read a summary of the audiobook, as provided by the publisher.
b. Chapters: Browse the table of contents & quickly jump to chapters or parts.
c. Marks: View bookmarks, highlights, and notes you've placed in the
audiobook. Audio Settings: Adjust the volume and playback speed.
d. Audio Settings: Adjust the volume and playback speed.
e. Tips & Secrets: Find advanced tips & tricks for using the audiobook player.
8. 5) Other options include the skip back button, which allows you
to go 5 seconds earlier in the story, and the bookmark, which
allows you to leave a bookmark or highlight.
