The narrator encounters a venomous tree boa in the jungle that bites them, injecting venom. They collapse to the jungle floor as the venom takes effect, numbness spreading through their body. After waking, they attempt to walk but fall down a hill and hear their body crack. Near water, they stand but feel like they are dying. Falling again, they land hard on rocky ground, their wound burning intensely. Spotting a torch, they try to grab it to tend their wound but instead grab its leg, causing the fire to land on and burn their wound, but realizing it is drawing out and curing the snake venom. Fire has become a cure for the snake bite.

2. I approach the jungle full of life. I look up coyly. A bright green tree boa hanging and hissing like it wants me to leave.

3. It leaps forward and sinks its venomous teeth into my flesh. I can feel the nasty venom kicking in.

4. I collapse to the thick vines on the jungle floor. I wake up. I try to walk but my legs are numb.

5. I rolled down the like a novice hill climber.

6. Crack! My body clicked. I felt like I was sinking rapidly. I look down and see the moisturising water.

7. I stand up and I feel like I’m going to die. I fell and I never stopped, thud! I landed on the rocky ground.

8. I looked at my wound, it is burning like a fire. Over to the left I saw a torch with a scorching fire inside. I lunged to grab it but I grabbed the leg of it and the fire landed on my wound.

9. I looked at my wound, It is burning. I realised that the poison is oozing out of my arm. It is curing me. Fire was now a cure to a snake bite.
