“I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things. ”
(2 Peter 1:12)
J ill Price has an extraordinary memory that has stunned scientists. In 2006, her
overdeveloped memory was described in a scientific journal article, ―A Case of
Unusual Autobiographical Remembering.‖ Price has no special aptitude for memorizing
lists of words, numbers, facts, or languages. But she does remember what happened to her
on any given day over the last 30 years. Name any date and Price will tell you what day of
the week it was, the weather, what she had for breakfast, the TV programs she watched,
and the people she spoke with.
Few of us have a memory like that. That’s why we need reminders to complete simple
tasks and keep our appointments. This is especially true when it comes to spiritual truth.
The apostle Peter showed he understood the need of spiritual reminders when he wrote: ―I
will not be negligent to remind you always of these things . . . . Yes, I think it is right . . . to

a reminder of these things‖ (2 Peter 1:12-15).
No matter what kind of memory we have, we need to be reminded of biblical principles.
Daily Bible reading, small group studies, and involvement in a local church can all help us
to remember God’s vital truths.
Remembering the Word of God
Does not come naturally;
We need reminders to fulfill
What God wants us to be.
Let God’s Word fill your memory, rule your heart,
and guide your steps.
To begin our prayer time together, we ask you to repeat this prayer with us each day...
“Father, in Jesus’ Name, I pray Your hedge of protection, Your will and plan for

5. Antioxidants (…contd)
Where you will find antioxidants?
Antioxidants are found abundantly in fruits, vegetables, grains
and nuts. Plant foods are also rich in antioxidants. Some of the
common antioxidants are beta-carotene, lycopene, lutein, vitamin
A, vitamin E and vitamin C.
Beta-carotene
It is found in foods that are orange, green and yellow in color.
Oranges, carrots, pumpkin, mango, sweet potatoes, squash,
papaya, mustard leaves, apricots, broccoli and spinach are rich in
beta-carotene.
Lutein
Luteins are found in green leafy vegetables like spinach and
fenugreek plants and are good for healthy eyes.
Lycopene
Red fruits and vegetables like tomatoes, watermelons, figs, pink-
grapefruits, apricots and pink-guavas are the most common
sources of lycopene.
Selenium Types of antioxidants
Selenium is not an antioxidant nutrient but a mineral. Rice,
wheat, nuts, and fruit seeds are rich in selenium. Beta-carotene

Vitamin E
Vitamin E is found in almonds and in many oils including Vitamin A
wheat germ, sunflower, corn, soybean oils and fish-liver Vitamin E

Vitamin C
It is a water soluble vitamin and cannot be stored in the body.
Hence it has to be taken regularly. Important sources of vitamin C
include citrus fruits (e.g. orange, lemon), green peppers, broccoli,
green leafy vegetables, strawberries, raw cabbage and potatoes.
Finally…
Introduce antioxidant-rich foods into your diet everyday. Take control of your health by
reducing the risk of diseases and delaying age-related conditions— begin a journey to a
new healthier you.
