• The Target and Customer order to be delivered was planned in end of previous month from the master
schedule. I am responsible for planning from PM material to delivery of end product to FG stores.
• Developing Micro plan for loading on machine in-house and Vendor and achieving daily, monthly and
yearly targets.
• The daily production plan Vs. Actual, Scraps, absenteeism, production rate, break downs for each
machine will be discussed in the shops before going for daily meeting. All the shop personnel will be
visualizing the display and the discussion of each shift is based on the same shift plan. Corrective action
to meet the target will be discussed daily.
 Implementing lean manufacturing System.
Continuous improvement and Relentless Root Cause Analysis( RRCA)
 Separate team is formed for carrying out continuous improvements. There is a Process called TOP in
TATA for continuous improvements. The Team will study the current scenario, expected scenario and
conducts continuous brain storm sessions with cross functional teams and shops to generate the ideas.
(When we started the S92 Helicopter parts we were at production ship set rate of 1.25 ship set per month
Now we are at 3.5 ship set per month within 8 months starting of production.
 The RRCA Meeting is scheduled daily for rejections, rework and NCR are discussed daily with concern
Engineering, production and quality. Root cause is identified and corrective and preventive actions are
planned.

At present I am working as a Plant head for Plant 11 (Defense) (TASL). In this plant we do Detail part
manufacturing and assembly for LRSAM DRDL project (Defense).
This is a new DRDO Missile programme. The detail part manufacturing includes machining of hard steel like
MDN 4340, Stainless steel 15-8PH . The parts are complicated in terms of Tolerances.
I am also heading digitization, Configuration and documentation in Tata Sikorsky Aerospace limited
Job Description – Plant 11 (Defense)
I have joined this project Three months back. The project is complicated in terms of hard part machining,
stringent tolerances and getting approvals from DRDL and MSQAA (Government Agencies).
I am in charge of total plant and I have to complete the FAI for three projects and to complete the planned
production by the end of financial year.
This project includes Detail part manufacturing and Assembly. Our scope includes both In-house and
outsourcing of parts.
Challenges -

• Process approval for detail part and assembly from DRDL
• MSQAA Approval for all stages of Inspection and QA matrix

I was working as Head of Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling, NC programming and machining in TARA
Aerospace a joint venture between TATA and Sikorsky Helicopter Company.
TARA Aerospace Company is a Joint Venture of TATA & Sikorsky for producing Detail parts for S92 Helicopter
project
Job Description
I have started the project converting from 2D drawing to 3D models, Tool design, Tool fabrication, NC
programming and Tool validation. We have used Catia software for Part Model, Tool design and NC
programming has developed 3800 tools for Machine shop, Sheet metal and Tubing.
This was significant achievement since the tooling was the property of Sikorsky and this was developed with
Final acceptance of Joint partner and customer Sikorsky
This is a green field project and at present all FAI is in completing stage. Currently I am validating the capacity
built up for serial production.
I was working as Head of Machine shop, Tooling, NC programming & ME. There are 6 managers, 20 Executives,
8 Team leaders and 60 associates are working under me.
We have successfully completed FAI of all in-house 542 parts and second and Third kit as planned in
one year. This is a significant achievement.
After successful completion of eight kits, I was made in charge of Manufacturing Engineering consisting of
Methods, Tooling and NC programming.
Significant Achievements -
• Developing 1800 Part models,1000 Tool designs, Developing 542 Master process sheet
for Machine shop and 600 NC programming of Machine Shop parts
• Establishing Process standards for developing all part models, tool designs, Drafting
Standards and NC programming
• Tool fabrication of 3800 tools for Machine shop, Sheet metal shop, Tubing Welding and
Special process
• Developing Tool Manuals, Tool Standards and Check sheets for all the process.

Continuous Improvements-
During the FAI we found that we are able to produce only 1.3 ship set per month with present method of process
and ne programming .We initiated lot of improvement activity and we brought the production to 3.2 ship set per
month. The improvement is on the process, tooling and NC programing.

machines. Kennametal Widia is a leading supplier of cutting tools to major automobile industries.
Job Description:
I was working for Metal Forming Division with a work force of, four executives and 73 Technicians. We
Manufacture Tungsten Carbide tools for metal forming, special tool for mining, wear parts and tungsten
Copper wear parts, special electrical contacts, Press tools for different customers for commercial product
like shaving blade, washing soap, coins, industrial washers etc. We also make powder compacting
Tungsten Carbide press tools for our own products like inserts. We also manufacture bullet-forming dies,
Cupping dies, draw dies, cone rings etc.
I was responsible for the total production of the shop.
Significant Achievements
 Achieved the production target of 18.1 crores in fy05 as compared to 13.8 crores in fy04.
 Initiated corrective action for non-conformance by providing training on Self Inspection/
Statistical Techniques on ISO systems.
 Formed task force to solve major quality related problems. Problem solving techniques such as
SQC tools/Seven tools of Quality are used to address the issues.
 Implemented self-certification from the operator hence at final inspection items are dispatched
based on sample inspection there by significant reduction in number of inspector at final

  • 2. Continuous improvement and Relentless Root Cause Analysis( RRCA)  Separate team is formed for carrying out continuous improvements. There is a Process called TOP in TATA for continuous improvements. The Team will study the current scenario, expected scenario and conducts continuous brain storm sessions with cross functional teams and shops to generate the ideas. (When we started the S92 Helicopter parts we were at production ship set rate of 1.25 ship set per month Now we are at 3.5 ship set per month within 8 months starting of production.  The RRCA Meeting is scheduled daily for rejections, rework and NCR are discussed daily with concern Engineering, production and quality. Root cause is identified and corrective and preventive actions are planned. TARA Aerospace Company is a Joint Venture of TATA & Sikorsky for producing Detail parts for S92 Helicopter project Job Description I have started the project converting from 2D drawing to 3D models, Tool design, Tool fabrication, NC programming and Tool validation. We have used Catia software for Part Model, Tool design and NC programming has developed 3800 tools for Machine shop, Sheet metal and Tubing. This was significant achievement since the tooling was the property of Sikorsky and this was developed with Final acceptance of Joint partner and customer Sikorsky This is a green field project and at present all FAI is in completing stage. Currently I am validating the capacity built up for serial production. I was working as Head of Machine shop, Tooling, NC programming & ME. There are 6 managers, 20 Executives, 8 Team leaders and 60 associates are working under me. We have successfully completed FAI of all in-house 542 parts and second and Third kit as planned in one year. This is a significant achievement. After successful completion of eight kits, I was made in charge of Manufacturing Engineering consisting of Methods, Tooling and NC programming.
