visualizing the display and the discussion of each shift is based on the same shift plan. Corrective action
to meet the target will be discussed daily.

2. Continuous improvement and Relentless Root Cause Analysis( RRCA)
Separate team is formed for carrying out continuous improvements. There is a Process called TOP in
TATA for continuous improvements. The Team will study the current scenario, expected scenario and
conducts continuous brain storm sessions with cross functional teams and shops to generate the ideas.
(When we started the S92 Helicopter parts we were at production ship set rate of 1.25 ship set per month
Now we are at 3.5 ship set per month within 8 months starting of production.
The RRCA Meeting is scheduled daily for rejections, rework and NCR are discussed daily with concern
Engineering, production and quality. Root cause is identified and corrective and preventive actions are
planned.

MDN 4340, Stainless steel 15-8PH . The parts are complicated in terms of Tolerances.

I have joined this project Three months back. The project is complicated in terms of hard part machining,
stringent tolerances and getting approvals from DRDL and MSQAA (Government Agencies).
I am in charge of total plant and I have to complete the FAI for three projects and to complete the planned
production by the end of financial year.
This project includes Detail part manufacturing and Assembly. Our scope includes both In-house and
outsourcing of parts.

project
Job Description
I have started the project converting from 2D drawing to 3D models, Tool design, Tool fabrication, NC
programming and Tool validation. We have used Catia software for Part Model, Tool design and NC
programming has developed 3800 tools for Machine shop, Sheet metal and Tubing.
This was significant achievement since the tooling was the property of Sikorsky and this was developed with
Final acceptance of Joint partner and customer Sikorsky
This is a green field project and at present all FAI is in completing stage. Currently I am validating the capacity
built up for serial production.
I was working as Head of Machine shop, Tooling, NC programming & ME. There are 6 managers, 20 Executives,
8 Team leaders and 60 associates are working under me.
We have successfully completed FAI of all in-house 542 parts and second and Third kit as planned in
one year. This is a significant achievement.
After successful completion of eight kits, I was made in charge of Manufacturing Engineering consisting of
Methods, Tooling and NC programming.
