Both the projects were about home networking which involved gateway box and client boxes. The gateway and
client communications were based on the UPnP protocol. UPC was a headed gateway while the COGEO was
using a headless gateway. UPC and Cogeco used Intel and Broadcom platforms respectively.

I was working as part of the integration team,
Good understanding of all the modules of the MW is required to trace the issues faced during the
integration process and to review the code fix for any possible side effects.
I took the full responsibility for integrating the full stack application of the UPC client boxes.
I am responsible for preparing the versioned stack which will be delivered to the customer. This involves a
series of testing, verification of the results and processes to be followed.
Worked at customer location to solve the critical and priority issues observed by the customers in live
head end, which requires quick response and resolutions.
During the project launch phase I was involved in analysing many robustness and performance issues.
Have been recognized and awarded internally by the team and by the entire department for my
performance.
Cable Card using Cisco power key solution.
I was working on integrating the Cisco proprietary conditional access system into the Fusion middleware. This was
an in house initiative to get the system up by combining the Fusion middleware and the power key CA system.
The solution was implemented on a headed gateway, also got the client boxes up using the same stack. The
integration was performed on Cisco STB powered by Broadcom chipset.

o Configured the audio driver to support LT/RT down mix of 7.1/5.1 channel audio
o Routing of 7.1 channel DD+ audio through HDMI.
o Optimized the audio and video synchronization delay.
TV Domain

Supported monitor out video and LR audio output for all the input sources.
Have supported various LCD, LED TV and 3D panels in the ST driver using the panel specifications.
Integrated the M/W of IRDETO with the TV application for supporting the AV functionalities of d2h STB

speaker coefficients provided by the customer.
Joint Space Architecture

Studied the Joint space architecture and understood the different components involved to adapt the native
application as one among the many applications. Have knowledge about DirectFB, fusion, SaWMan and
resource usage.
Developed a basic Jointspace model with the native TV application running simultaneously among other
three sample applications.
Media Player
Integrated software MP3 decoder of FFMPEG to adapt with ST media player.
Implemented following in media player
o Trickmode functionality for audio files
o Smoothness and time updation in trickmode
o Dynamic audio track selection
o Added event call back in drivers to notify user about the unsupported audio & video format and
media file errors.
Understood the index building in different file formats, which is the key concept for playing and supporting
trickmode and seek in many of the media files.

Oracle database from 9i to 10g. The scope of project included Fit gap analysis, data conversion / migration of
Financial and Procurement applications, configuration and new interface development as well as migrate existing
interfaces and retrofit them.

Designed and developed an autonomous robot that could sense metals beneath the ground with an application to
detect land mines. The robot was built on Atmel 89C51 controller (based on 8051 architecture).
