2. Alzheimer’s Association
Most of our services, including our Helpline and care consultations, are free of charge
and do not have eligibility requirements.
The Alzheimer’s Association works to
provide care and support for all those
affected by Alzheimer’s and other
dementias.
We offer a 24/7 Helpline (1.800.272.3900), information and
referrals, care consultations, education presentations,
support groups for early stage individuals and their
caregivers, a comprehensive website (alz.org) including
online message boards and disease education, policy
advocacy, research, clinical trials information and much
more.
We are here to help.
3. Compassionate Community Care
Compassionate Community
Care is a home care agency
that has been serving San
Francisco since 2001. We are one of very few agencies that
provide both home care and care management services. RN,
Gerontologist and MSW senior staff supervise over 100
caregivers to serve you.
Our mission is to provide holistically compassionate home
care to create a healthy, healing environment for all in need.
We empower people to be independent and happy while
living in their own home, in their own way.
4. SF Department of Aging and Adult Services
The Department of Aging and Adult Services
(DAAS) coordinates services to seniors, adults
with disabilities, and their families to maximize
self-sufficiency, safety, health, and independence
so that they can remain living in the community
for as long as possible and maintain the highest
quality of life.
5. Episcopal Senior Communities
Episcopal Senior Communities is a nonprofit
provider of housing and services for seniors with a
mission to "cultivate and build healthy
communities with a continuum of residential and
innovative aging services that actively promote
intellectual, physical, social and spiritual well-
being."

Senior Center Without Walls is a virtual program
that offers activities, education, friendly
conversation, and an assortment of classes,
support groups, and presentations to older
adults from the comfort of home.
All programs are accessible by phone!
Eligibility: People over 60 years of age.
7. Family Caregiver Alliance
with chronic disabling conditions such as Alzheimer's, stroke, ALS, and Parkinson's. An in-home
or phone assessment of your caregiving situation connects you with programs and resources.
Additional services include FCA Care Journey (online caregiver assessment and support), classes,
webinars, fact and tip sheets, legal consultation, short-term respite, and connection to support
groups.

of adults with chronic
disabling conditions such as

8. FamilyViolence Law Center
Victim must live in Alameda County or incident happened in
Alameda County. Services are free of charge, but FVLC does
except donations.
The Family Violence Law Center
provides confidential services to
women and men that have been
victims of Domestic Violence and
Sexual Assault within Alameda
County. We provide legal assistance in
obtaining restraining orders, crisis counseling,
emergency relocation, safety planning and case
management.
9. Jewish Home Acute Psychiatric
Our 12-bed licensed acute
geriatric psychiatry hospital
services older individuals,
from 55 years and older with
an average age of 73, who require assistance for acute
psychiatric needs.
We are also licensed to admit individuals on a voluntary
or involuntary basis. We offer an intimate setting housed
on the campus of our nationally recognized long-term
care center. Admission is not limited by religious or
cultural affiliation.
10. NPower
NPower creates pathways to economic prosperity
by launching technical careers for military veterans
and their spouses.
Eligibility: Veteran or someone currently serving, or
their spouse, with an honorable or under
honorable conditions, over the age of 21.

One Vet, One Voice’s mission is to create a model
of service delivery systems, to include healthcare,
education, housing and employment for veterans
and military families in the city and county of San
Francisco.

Our mission is to support the growth and
healing of veterans through mutual assistance,
personal development, and community service.
13. TriWest Healthcare Alliance
TriWest Healthcare Alliance is the third
party administrator (TPA) for the
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Patient-
Centered Community Care and Veterans'
Choice Programs.
14. YinRise
YinRise works with women veterans
struggling to overcome the trauma of sexual
violence, by teaching techniques that are
self-administered and self-empowering to
normalize the nervous system and expand
heart and mind.
