Wrote the Five-Year Carl Perkins CTE State Plan
Adopted California Department of Education’s CTE Standards for the district and obtained Board approval
Changed the graduation requirement making one year CTE mandatory for all students within the district
Worked with teachers developing new, state-of-the-art CTE courses,obtaining Board approval i.e. Green
Engineering, Entrepreneurial Course, Illustration & Design, etc.
Qualified and amended existing CTE programs updating for new CTE standard regulations
Worked on grant writing teams, e.g. Green Technology Academy—grant obtained
Created and facilitated the district-wide, “Green Team” which included board members, administrators,
community/business partners, teachers,parents and students
Certified Soft-Skills trainer; trained diverse groups of students, faculty,and staff
Coordinated and formed 36 business/industry partnership drawing from bio tech companies and high-tech
industries
Facilitated CTE Steering Committee with the business partners and educators
Coordinated articulation efforts and programs with nearby community colleges
Worked with NASA team of scientists to input soft skills curriculum in the high schoolsummer science

Coordinated several state-wide CTE schoolsites with board members, superintendents,administrators and
