This document outlines an institution's journey with open educational resources (OER) and the OERu network. It discusses the benefits of OER such as reducing costs and improving teaching quality. It then describes the institution's phases of preparing for and launching the OERu program by building staff capability and awareness of OER. Challenges like reduced funding are noted along with opportunities to further reduce costs through OER collaboration.
