about
i have recently finished my studies in interior
architecture and design ba(hons) at london
metropolitan university.
i very much enjoyed studying interior architecture
particularly because of its multi-faceted aspects
dealing with completely different areas such as
the design process, the history of architecture,
photography, ideas generation, team-work as well
as the regulatory and practical aspects such as
the riba plan of work and the building regulations
to name a few; all of them calling for high levels
of accuracy, hard work and persistency.
as with most deigners it would be
simply impossible to show everything
i have made and created in this
document; although i must admit
that this mini portfolio
does indeed give me the chance to
express my taste and approach
towards design in a few pages.

book house is a late victorian building for which the
construction was completed back in 1888. ever since the
building has been serving different puposes until recent-
ly functioning as the offices for wandsworth disctrict
board of works. prior to the existing building the current
site used to be a wasteland. the original architect of the
building ‘william newton dunn’ was one of the first to use
reinforced concrete (beton armée) in england.
the building is located in a conservation area however it is
not listed. it is currently being redeveloped by the malins
group into a number of luxury residential apartments
(2015).

The number of Children’s libraries in London that can offer both the children and their
parents the space to play, learn and socialise is close to none. CCL is trying to address
this by offering all the above to kids and parents. The recently gentrified east London was
chosen as a suitable site for this.

Until into my mid teenage years I lived in Iran
where architecture goes back at least 7000 years.
Since I was very young my father would take me
on trips and encourage me to take photographs
with his clunky Canon camera. With this in my
mind wherever I go I am always visually and
emotionally aware of the built environement, its
history, usability as well as its aesthetics.
I take great pleasure in finding inspiration in
different places, resources, events and people.

sketching
probably the most effective method for
conveying ideas, i value and enjoy
sketching and endeavour to practice and
improve my existing skills. generally i use
sketching in a number of different ways --
whether it be to create an initial idea or
a concept or be it something completely
abstract which can later turn into a fine
concept using my various cad techniques/
skills.

Serpentine

2011
this project was an
attempt on making a
proposal for the
serpentine pavilion.
i particularly
enjoyed this as i
had to take a dif-
ferent approach when
researching for this
project. researching
into the concept of
pavilions as well as
presedence research
into previous
serpentine pavilions
themselves.
