3. Executive Summary:
A study on "employee satisfaction " was carried out in Pescafresh Mumbai. The
main objective of the research was to find the satisfaction level of employees in the
organization.
Employee satisfaction is of utmost importance for employees to remain happy and
deliver their level best. Satisfied employees are the ones who are extremely loyal
towards their organization and stick to it even in the worst scenario. They do not
work out of any compulsion but because they dream of taking their organization to
a new level. Employees need to be passionate towards their work and passion
comes only when employees are satisfied with their job and organization overall.
Employee satisfaction leads to a positive ambience at the workplace.
The study was done as part of descriptive research. Random sampling method was
employed for selecting the sample. The primary data was collected by the means of
questionnaire. The Secondarydata was collected from the company records and
websites. A structured questionnaire was given to 100 employees and the data was
collected based on the same. Utmost care has been taken from the beginning of the
preparation of the questionnaire till the analysis, findings, and suggestions. The
analysis leads over the conclusion that majority of the employees are satisfied
working with the organization. It was found that dissatisfaction among employees
will affect the work performance and productivity of the organization. Valuable
suggestions and recommendations are also given to the company for the better
prospects.
4. Introduction
Employee satisfaction is a broad term used by the HR industry to describe how
satisfied or content employees are with elements like their jobs, their employee
experience, and the organizations they work for Employee satisfaction is one key
metric that can help determine the overall health of an organization, which is why
many organizations employ regular surveys to measure employee satisfaction and
track satisfaction trends over time.
A high satisfaction level indicates that employees are happy with how their
employer treats them. Often, employee satisfaction is used interchangeably with
employee engagement; however, while engagement is one factor influencing
overall satisfaction (and it may be said the reverse is also somewhat true), the two
are not the same. Satisfaction, while important for retention, is not necessarily a
predictor of performance, while engagement—which indicates an employee’s
passion for their work, among other things—is directly tied to output.
Ideally, satisfaction occurs becauseof both material factors like compensation and
benefits as well as less-tangible elements like engagement, recognition, and strong
leadership.
If an organization fails to address both sides of the equation, they may find they
have a complacent team made up of materially satisfied employees who are
content to do only what is required to remain employed, or a staff of highly
engaged employees who are performing well while they look for new opportunities
at companies more willing or able to fill their material needs.
Objectives Of The Study:
To study the employee satisfaction level of the organization.
To access the general attitude of the employees towards Pescafresh.
To study the employee’s opinion about workplace, pay and benefits.

8. CONCLUSION:
The project has given me the opportunity to interact with the corporatesectorand
to see how academic teaching of the classrooms in management is translated to
reality and practice. In fact, it was very heartening to experience that all concepts
and theories mentioned in various books are actually implemented by the
company under a different name to suit its needs /style / culture.
Also, undertaking this project has helped me in learning to think of a topic/ subject
/ issue in a logical manner and examining the issue in its totality. This has also
promoted interaction with people from different walks of life, experiences, and
outlooks.
From the study, it was identified that majority of the employees are satisfied with
their job, the company’s culture, facilities provided to them, the wages they get
paid for their work. They are also satisfied with the employer- employee
relationship. Some of the employees do have some problems but overall, the
employees seem to be satisfied with their job. majority of the employees seemed to
satisfy associated with Pescafresh. If the company concentrates on the Findings
and suggestions of this survey, I hopefully believe. that the organization can
further bring out their employees with full satisfaction and obtain good results.
