drive.ai, Mountain View, CA — Software Engineering Intern - Data Tools
MAY - AUGUST 2017
Designed and developed a web-hosted map annotation tool for marking street data on
custom map renders, using d3.js for dynamic rendering. Deployed on Amazon Web
Services for remote access, allowing for scalable outsourcing based on data demand.
Trained a Tensorflow conv. neural network to automate parts of the labeling task.
MAY - AUGUST 2016
Developed browser video labeling tools for annotating obstacles, tra c lights, and turns
in car driving data. Added various features that improved existing labelers’ performance
by 3 times, (as fast as 2.5x of video duration). Created pipeline for processing erroneous
labels in training.
Added ROS integration for new CANbus radar sensor and implemented data filtering.

assignments and projects by talking through problems and debugging C++ code.

Conducted research under Professor Maja Mataric in socially aware robots for schools,
publication accepted to the A ective Computing and Intelligent Interaction conference.
Worked with Microsoft Kinect and ace tracking APIs for real-time bullying behavior
detection. Integrated Bayesian / HCRF classifiers for gesture recognition.
Developed a Python Flask data annotation website, allowing multiple annotators to
input real-time data about participants’ interaction behaviors in studies.
Rewrote software with ROS for the NSF Expeditions grant that controls a miniature
servo robot based on feedback from JavaScript games.

USC Aerial Robotics Team — Lead of Flight Software Development 2015 - 2017, President 2017 - Present
Managed software developers of the club across various projects, developed and led an introductory course to make sure
rookie members understood our development stack. Delegated projects between three sub-teams.
Programmed in C++ using the PX4 flight-control platform (implemented positional awareness using camera optical flow).
