FMS Standard
 The Fleet Management Systems Interface (FMS) is a
standard interface to vehicle data of commercial vehicles. The six European
manufacturers Daimler AG, MAN AG, Scania, Volvo (including
Renault), DAF Trucks and IVECO developed the so-called FMS-Standard
in 2002 to make manufacturer-independent applications for telematics
possible.
 Broadcasted data include e.g
 Speed
 PTO status
 Fuel level
 Axle weight
 Tachograph status
 Engine coolant temp
 …and many more

Delivered information in the pilots
 Vehicle tracking systems connects to truck FMS and hooklift PLC control
system
 Camera connected to same system, taking a photo in every 3 seconds or
more frequently as hooklift is operated
 Not all photos are sent to cloud but are stored in internal memory. They
can be downloaded if necessary.
 RFID identification of containers
=> Chosen information of truck FMS, hooklift control system, photos and
container ID sent to cloud
