1. Ute Barnickel graduated from high school with a university entrance
diploma and then pursued a business administration education in
hotel management. After completion of her degree, she worked in the
sales and marketing department of a large international hotel group
in Frankfurt. Ute Barnickel was in charge of corporate account
management, organization of travel trade shows, planning and reali
zation of client events and other public relations activities. In this
capacity, she had the opportunity to experience other countries and
cultures.
After several years, Ute Barnickel transferred to an international ad
vertising agency. She was given the responsibility to support clients
in the area of product development and was significantly involved
in the design and improvement of new products. In 1995, she took
over the administrative management of a telephone and database
marketing agency. Afterwards, Ute Barnickel’s professional career led
her to the German subsidiary of an American software company.
In the course of her activities, she took care of clients in London and
Zurich and was responsible for the coordination of business pro
cesses within Europe.
Subsequently, she moved to the Frankfurt branch of a leading inter
national law firm advising corporates, financial institutions and
governments. In her role as Head of Administration she also carried
out the recruitment of staff for back office positions.
After moving to Switzerland, Ute Barnickel worked several years for
a global executive search firm in Zurich, where she was entrusted
with all aspects of the search process. In 2008, she joined da Unter
nehmensberatung in Personalfragen. In her role as Senior Consultant
she is responsible for the “Executive Assistants” segment exclusively
focusing on the search of Assistants for CEOs, Executive Management
and Board Members. Ute Barnickel has a broad and relevant network
as well as long practical experience and a sound knowledge of the
search process and conduct of search assignments.
In her spare time, Ute Barnickel likes to be outdoors. She enjoys
reading a good book, is interested in contemporary art and passionate
about cooking.
