3. Introduction
• The project entitled News Application has been developed as part of the 6th semester of
the BCA course.
• The goal is to create a news feed app which gives a user regularly updated news from
the internet related to a particular topic, person.
• The purpose of the project is to develop an application which will display news articles
verified and approved at backend.
• User can browse news articles through various categories.
• App will enables user to views news details, images.
Project definition
The purpose of this application is established fact that internet users are
increasing today, one of the main purpose of the application is to facilitate the offline user
online because people cannot spend their time in newspaper where there is a lot of unwanted
content too and uncomfortable environment.
Motivation
The project is inspired for user who want to read news easily. It is an
android application project.
Objective
In this fast moving world where people find little time to spend with their own family.
It is difficult to find time to read newspaper and stay updated with the current affairs.
So, this app helps to read latest and current news at anywhere and anytime with in little
amount of time.

4. Applications of the project
• It’s way to know, what’s going in the world with relevant facts.
 Less time is consumed compared to newspaper reading.
 It provide all the latest news with category wise like Sport, Crimes, Health,
Entertainment, Science, Business, Technology.
 Easy to use and fast.
 Time saving.

Scope of the project
 Functional specification document to describe the complete system in low level.
 User interface design for mobile phone for android.
 Development of all functional requirement as proposed for the mobile application.
 User will get attractive UI/UX interface where he/she will never face any problem while
reading any news article
Future scope
• Currently we are using API to fetch news but in future we will updated from over own
server.
• In future our app will provide location wise news.
• News will in video format available for easy to understand.
• The app will have own website where user can also get news and available on all the
platforms like android, iOS (Mac systemalso), Windows, Linux.

5. Proposedsystem
User needs to install the application in his android device and give the
necessary permission to the application. Once the application is installed it is ready to be used.
The user needs to focus on the news headlines, which gives a block of text. This block of text
upon clicking gives a text view, which again is clickable and upon clicking gives us the results of
most relevant news based on the number of view, date of publishing the article. This allows the
user to see the news instead reading the whole article which is a bit time conserving.

gives free API where we can implement in over app and show news.
