- 7. Painfully practical - what you really need to know #2: MVP - that’s all you need • You’re selling a vision, a passion. The product is almost irrelevant • BEST TO BE FIRST THAN TO BE BEST… THEN BE BEST.
- 8. Painfully practical - what you really need to know #3: Be a business, not a college startup • This is not a project, and people don’t just hop on for the ride. Take people on in the understanding that they are there for a specific purpose. • GET SERIOUS ABOUT DOING BUSINESS.
- 9. Painfully practical - what you really need to know #4: Money is nothing, and everything. • If you think you need venture capital, you’re either wrong, or your idea is bad. • CASHFLOW IS KING… SO MAKE CASHFLOW, NOT CAPITAL.
- 10. Painfully practical - what you really need to know #5: Time management 101 - work 24/7. • Work harder than anyone else, to avoid reliance on the inevitable paycheque if you don’t. • ANYONE WHO KNOWS WHAT ‘WEEKEND’ MEANS SHOULDN’T WORK IN YOUR BUSINESS.
