Kids exposed to chronic, low doses of
mercury can suffer:

• Vision and hearing deficits
• Delayed walking and speech development
• Poor performance on tests of attention, fine-motor
skills, drawing, and verbal memory

EPA estimates that 410,000 infants are
born each year with an unacceptable
level of mercury in their blood.
