NEVER DO THINGS RANDOMLY
A disciplined mind is an orga-
nized mind; an organized mind
is a powerful mind. The subject
of priorities reminds us on the
importance of doing what is
supposed to be done when and
where it is supposed to be
done.
Our priorities are often mani-
fested in how we spend our
time on a daily basis. The things
that takes our time the most
and the people we spend our
time with. The scripture says,
“The tree falls where it is more
inclined to.” Man is more in-
clined to the dominating
thoughts and desires of his
heart. Where is your heart? Its
hard for most of us to focus on
priorities because we don’t
even know what our priorities
are.
Literally speaking, something is
called a priority when you think
of it as the most important
thing to do than anything else.
The top general priority that we
all have is that of working for
our goals. The goals to develop
our spiritual, social, profession-
al, emotional and our physical
life. it takes discipline to plan
and to execute the plans.
Its not okay to do things ran-
domly. Its true that if you are
not in control then you are be-
ing controlled. What wakes you
up every morning? Is it good
enough? What impact will it
bring if you persist on doing it
all the time.
Each day is either a successful
day or a day of failure. It is only
a success when you had spend
all your energies to doing what
is important in the most effec-
tive and efficient manner. The
most important activities are
those that move you towards
what you want to experience in
life. Let every day draw you
closer to your long term goals.
With everything you do, re-
member to appreciate love for
family and friends. Its not about
what you have done with your
life in the past but what you
chose to be your priority now.
LEARN AND GROW EVERYDAY
In his book, the science of getting rich, Wallace D
Wattles puts it this way, “There are three mo-
tives behind why we live: we live for our body
which needs food and shelter, our minds which
needs books and our souls which needs love.”
this has illustrated the best way of spending our
time.
Improve your mindset everyday; do the same for
your soulset and your heartset. Create a balance.
Never be a slave of inefficiency. If something is
not working out, try something different and
new. Remember that whatever you are avoiding
to do today and pushing to tomorrow that never
seem to come, someone else is doing it. Be in a
business of building your life everyday. Identify
all your weaknesses and develop a curriculum for
your own life so that you can turn your weak-
nesses into your strengths by devotion to learn-
ing. Read books about what you are struggling
with; listen to audio books if you don’t like to
read much. What ever works for you, the bottom
line is to engage yourself in learning continuous-
ly. Develop your skills and institutionalize them
into something that will offer you self employ-
ment. Never waste your time watching only fun-
ny videos on you-tube; watch something that will
build you.
Be a person
of integrity
and you'll
come to be-
lieve that life
is worth it
when you
have things
to do.

2. REFLECTION AND PRAYER
One of the most important thing in life, is knowing and under-
standing who you are better. What are your principles? Are
you living according to what you believe in? What's limiting
you from getting there? Are you doing everything according to
the plan you have established for your life? Are you praying?
Having Priorities gives life a focus and adds a meaning to it.
Priorities increases ones focus on what matters the most other
than wasting it pursuing what does not matter.
You need to have a clear mindset; such a mind is as a result of
goal setting and making sure they are achieved. Goals are the
foundation of getting organized. Living an organized life gives
one the ability to always do something at any particular time.
Our abilities to move forward and accomplish our goals often
depends on what we decide to prioritize. There's no magic in
reaching to the top or finding things to be easy, priorities
matters as well. You can not lead a prosperous life if your mind
is disorganized.
1 Timothy 3:5 says for if someone does not know how to man-
age his own house hold , how will he care for God's church? If
you can't organize your own life how will you help someone
out there? As young people, our greatest struggle is to lead a
priority driven life. We live our lives according to what others
are doing. Its so hard for us to check our inner self and to be-
lieve that we are also capable of making a change. It all starts
with believing and trusting in yourself. You have a responsibil-
ity to lay your own foundation and getting started to enjoy the
things you devote to doing everyday.
Learn to focus on one thing at a time; know what can wait and
what cannot. Trying to do everything will only leave everything
unfinished. In Luke 10:38-42 we find a story of the two sisters
Martha and Mary. Martha invited Jesus to her home; while
both sisters where at the feet of Jesus Christ, Martha got dis-
tracted by her many tasks. While Mary remained listening to
Christ. Soon enough Martha felt bad that her sister was not
helping her out. She was bold to say, “Lord don’t you care that
my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her to give me a
hand.” Jesus replied, “Martha you are worried and upset about
many things; but one thing is necessary, Mary has made the
right choice and it will not be taken away from her.” We are
challenged from this story to focus on one task a time.
Be a person of integrity and you'll come to believe that life is
only worth it when you have things to do. What ever you set
your mind to, your heart will also follow. For where your treas-
ure is, there will your heart be also [Luke 12:34].
PRAYER: Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for reminding me today
that not all things are necessary. Help me to become a priority
driven person and show me what I am supposed to be doing
everyday in and out. I refuse to let circumstances control me;
but I chose to take control and to be responsible. Amen.
THINK TANK HEALTH TIP
You need to have a focus for your own life.
You are not supposed to be running in the wrong direction.
If you know that the path that will make you a success is headed
East, make sure every step you are taking every day is taking you to
the East.
Guard your life well; never let anything deceive you.
Do all that you can but remember that not everything is necessary.
Not all that glitters is gold and not everything is good for you.
Never start a day without having goals to achieve.
Make goals in all areas of your life: Health, relationships, profes-
sional and spiritual goals.
