9. IF THE VICTIMS CHEST IS HAIRY
PADS MAY STICK TO THEIR HAIR
Shave the arear where you will place the pads by
using the razor from the AED carrying case
If you have a second set of pads you can use the
first set to remove the hair.
10. WATER
If the victim is in water, pull the victim put of the water
If chest is coverednwith water, quickly wipe the chest
before attaching the AED pads
If the victim is lyimg on snow or in small puddle, you may
use the AED after quickly wiping the chest
Water is the good conductor of electricity. Do not use an
AED in water!
