OVERVIEW
The Studio
Monster Design Co. is a vibrant full-service creative studio focused on
building amazing brands. We believe great design is smart business, and
work to deliver intelligent, distinctive design solutions that ignite vivid brand
engagement and exceed market expectations. We develop award-winning
brand strategy, web design, graphic design, advertising, and marketing
communications to entrepreneur, corporate, and non-profit clients — clients
seeking a strategic partner who is equally devoted to their success. If you
seek fire for a business or brand, we’re primed. Light a match!
Our Approach
We serve clients from many industries but when we begin working together
our first priority is always the same. Defining design as communication, we
work with you to establish and focus your business goals and marketing
message, then create sharp, persuasive marketing solutions in sync with
your objectives. Our extensive experience creating identities, packaging,
publications, annual reports, brochures, direct mail, websites, restaurant
and business environments, and illustrations results in a comprehensive,
insightful approach to every project that generates a total business
solution, not just a disconnected design.
We know satisfied clients are the best way for our business to grow.
That’s why we think like a partner and act as a resource during a
project’s development, ensuring a smooth and exciting experience for
everyone involved. During the development phase, we’ll recommend
appropriate strategies that meet both marketing objectives and budget
requirements, returning you the most “bang for the buck.” We’re aware
that time lines always run tight, so we do our best to turn around
projects before deadline. We don’t expect you to work around our
schedules, we’ll work around yours.
From concept to delivery, Monster Design Co. works with you to create
communication solutions that are as unique as your company.

Strategy
Meritage Medical Group
Meritage Medical Group approached Monster Design Co.
looking for a digital marketing partner that would help
them accomplish three things: drive public engagement
with the brand, increase signups during open enrollment,
and reach member and non-member medical practices
throughout their operating area. We were able to achieve
and maintain all three initiatives with a holistic approach
that included social media management, paid advertising,
and content marketing.
Our approach has allowed Meritage to see measurable
improvements across the board, increasing engagement,
Facebook page likes, list building, and visibility to mem-
ber and non-member practices. Users were targeted
geographically and demographically, by occupation and
interest. Systems were built to create conversion-points
related to Ebook downloads and wellness classes. Mar-
keting automation was employed to retain the interest of
users, send reminders where appropriate, and successful-
ly drive non-web signups during open enrollment.

Palladio Shopping Center
Palladio is an open-air lifestyle shopping center in
Folsom California. As a destination retail center serving
the region, with and handful of competing centers in the
region, Palladio is home to a sixteen screen cinema and
over 70 merchants, nationwide and local. Our work with
Palladio is centered on creating a cohesive brand and
voice to promote the center as a destination for concerts
and events as well as for the 70 retailers.
Social media and digital advertising are deployed to
create regular and ongoing interaction with shoppers
and the broader community. Through online promotion,
and live representation at events, word of mouth sharing
online has led to increases in shopper traffic and loyalty
from previous shoppers.

Benicia Fine Art & Jazz Festival
Historic Downtown Benicia has a charming main street
and beautiful waterfront, but lacked a signature event
that it could call it’s own. Large events at the waterfront,
such as the jet ski races, had typically been focused on
a younger demographic which brought in people for the
day, but they didn’t venture far from the beer garden to
explore the great shops and local artists Benicia is known
for. Benicia has a slightly older demographic as well and
a reputation as an arts community, so creating a festival
focused on art and jazz seemed the perfect fit.
Monster Design Co. helped with event strategy and mes-
saging, and created a colorful, energetic logo to reflect
both art and jazz as well as communicate the fun lively
atmosphere the festival promised. The identity had to be
iconic and flexible enough to use year after year. The
branding has been used for the event since 2008 and the
Fine Art & Jazz Festival has become a signature event for
downtown Benicia.

Strategy
Fairfield Main Street Association
Historic Downtown Fairfield, the County Seat of Solano
County, once had a bustling main street, but with economic
realities and a lack of planning, main street became an
access road rather than a destination. The Fairfield Main
Street Association was established to support main street
merchants and promote downtown Fairfield. Merchant va-
cancies along the main street corridor were a real
detriment to encouraging foot traffic. Monster Design Co.
was charged with helping define the Fairfield Main Street
brand and solidifying awareness of the existing merchants
and ongoing downtown events.
We recognized the need to establish a sense of confidence
and place within the identity and marketing, so both the
merchants and public could take pride in downtown. To
facilitate this, we created a dimensional logo based on
the iconic Fairfield Main Street sign, a website highlighting
the calendar of events and business directory, and a well
received 24 page dining guide & shopping directory.
