1. Elder Action Coalition
PURPOSE
The purpose of the Elder Action Coalition is to improve the overall quality of life for
Senior Citizens living in the Metropolitan New Orleans area.
One of the core tenets of the coalition is to promote open dialogue and exchange among
members within the provider network. The idea is to illuminate relevant issues within a
community-based system of care and promote collaboration among service providers.
Why is the EAC important? It is a social network of providers working collaboratively
to maximize resources, share expertise and knowledge, strengthen the local aging
infrastructure, and support the needs of older adults and caregivers in the metro
community.
