1. Tim Goullet worked as a health and fitness
consultant at Champneys health club after
completing a sports science degree in 1987.
A strong desire to understand the body at
a deeper level led him to study osteopathy
in which he qualified in 1993. Tim then went
on to teach at the British College of Osteopathic
Medicine for 20 years, and also at the Clare
Maxwell-Hudson School of Massage for 10 years.
Tim has also invested many years in martial arts,
reaching 5th Dan black belt in Karate Jutsu which
he also teaches. Tim has practised and assisted
in various forms of yoga for 15 years and in 2005
co-authored the book Healing Yoga with Liz Lark.
Tim runs a successful osteopathic clinic at triyoga
Chelsea and has also designed a unique therapy
for yoga practitioners – Yogabodywork.
Esther Benwell has been teaching for 5 years
and came to yoga from a dance background with
knee and back injuries. Having trained as a dancer
and worked in gyms, Esther has a good knowledge
of anatomy and alignment. She qualified with the
British Wheel of Yoga and Yoga Alliance in London
and has also completed the triyoga Hot teacher
training. Esther’s personal practice varies greatly
including Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini, restorative
and Yin yoga so these influences inspire her
teaching leading to a varied practice.
Esther’s classes aim to be upbeat and fun as well
as informative. Her positive approach to yoga
aims to help all students feel included and
confident in their practice.
