How to sell mobile applications to retailers
1. How to sell mobile
applications to Retailers
A selling process
2. Of course, this is the starting point
Ask him general questions concerning
his activity (go forward progressively)
Ex: Has he established a loyalty program ?
Step 1: Listening and
Understandind your client
3. Make him conscious of the mobile power
Ex: “There are 400 million smartphones in the world (2012). In 2012,
55% of mobiles in the US were smartphones and this figure is climbing up
in urban areas. Etc.
Step 2: Making your client
conscious
4. This is a basic of selling argumentation (but
it is good to repeat it again)
Ex: “You could do this and it will enable you to…” instead of “You will have
News Page”
It’s also important to know well the Tiger
features before starting to sell apps (but this
seems like an obvious thing).
Step 3: Talking of the advantages
and not the features
5. Create for free some apps by sectors on Tiger (you will
show them to your prospects)
Then click on “Promote”. Here you will find the QR Code
of each application.
If you scan it with your mobile, the WebApp of your
application will open.
Step 4: Showing a Display
6. This is not an application. This is just a WebApp.
If you want your prospects to show it like an app:
Step 4: Showing a display
7. In your admin interface click on “manage” and
then go to “Promotion”.
You will find:
A QR Code related to this app
An A3 poster (psd format)
A POS template (psd format)
Step 5: Giving advices and tools
8. Make clear to your client that he can manage
and update content whenever he wants.
We provide you an admin interface for this in
white label on the domain name of your choice.
You just have to create accesses for your clients.
Step 6: Giving the client the
possibility to manage everyday
9. Elements you need to build an
application
“Selling is just the starting point, now you have to
build it”
10. Email address of the manager
Logo of the company
Color and graphic guidelines of the company
Elements you need
11. Depending on the desired features
Pictures
Youtube links
RSS feed
A first piece of news
A list of products with their pictures (optional)
One or several promotions
His loyalty program: number of points, gifts,
conditions. Etc.
And, of course his name, address and phone
number
Elements you need
13. To manage his applications, the retailers will need an
interface. Thus, you will have two possibilities:
He can manage his applications directly on Tiger
He can manage his applications on an admin interface
in white label, with your colors and the domain name
of your choice.
