I will be teaching and Adult Ed.Class at Patchogue-Medford High School on Weds. nights this Spring. The course will try to impart the Practical side of the business theory learned in school. The goal is to understand Universal skills using real life business experiences which are transferable between different business models.

- 1. BUILDING YOUR CAREER This course is based on acquiring skills required for success in the modern business environment. We will discuss how the business theory and basic education you received in school translates when you get into the real business world. The skills in class are not only transferable between different business models but also are useful navigating the issues that arise in your personal life. Some of the skills we will discuss include: negotiations, sales techniques, purchasing strategy, ownership, communication, people skills and leadership. - Not a class like your school days- no text books- based on real life experiences and real people we will be talking about building a business plan for your future- college or a career. At the same time we will discuss building a business plan for your life. Everything I discuss will be my be my beliefs based on the life experiences I have had and the knowledge imparted to me by the mentors I have had in my life. This needs to be an interactive discussion about your needs and the solutions we can put together to meet them. We need this class to meet your short and long term goals. The bottom line is to introduce you to a combination of real world skills and techniques that will give you an advantage over those who have only learned from a book or a class room. One skill you need to acquire is the ability to vet everything. If you don’t agree with what I say its your job to push me for proof . For that reason You are going to vet me just as if I was a presidential appointment. For this to work you need to understand where I am coming from. And do I have the expertise to make the statements I am making.
