Notas do Editor
Father God, thank you for gathering us in Kuya Bong’s and Ate Ann’s household today, blessed with your infinite goodness and grace.
May we examine our motives tonight and learn to walk in pureness before You. May we live in daily obedience to the guidance of the indwelling Holy Spirit. And may you bless us with opportunities to show our faithfulness to you. This we ask and pray for in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Introduction: Is there anyone of us here in this table who would like to give an accounting of our individual lives when we face God someday?… Can we have a show of
hands? I thought so, I guess not one of us has that courage to do so, right? But what if we are really required to do so?
Let us read this evening’s passage.
Related passage of our accounting to the Lord. One day, we’ll give an account of our lives before God. When we keep that in mind and have that kind of long-term thinking, it’s going to change what we say, what we do, and who we try to impress. It’s the people-pleaser antidote.
Give examples on how one’s ego feels good when we’re well-liked.
When we take that long look and realize we’re going to give an account for every word we say today, we’ll ask ourselves, “Do I want God disapproving of what I just said or did, or do I want this person disapproving of what I just said or did?”
I am sure that some of us, do know this and have been asked on different occasions where people will ask you the toughest questions possible.
They would want to put us on the spot and, because we believe in a God, make us look like a foolish and embarrassed. They intentionally try to get us to back down off of
what the Bible says. Test of faith.
When we are in those conversations, our human nature wants to be liked, just like everyone does. Our human nature wants to compromise, divert, punt, and leave out the truth.
There are actually guys being asked those questions and they’ll say, “I just leave that up to God” or “Everybody has to make up their own mind.” There’s a word for that: cop-out! Those are politically correct, people-pleasing cop-outs. Those people are not standing for the truth. In those moments, when we could say something that would be politically correct and wouldn’t offend but would be a lie, remember these following truths:
First, we need to remember what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. He didn’t deny us. He didn’t back down for us. He died for our sins. We owe him our lives. He created us. He saved us. He forgave us. He’s taking us to Heaven. We’re not going to deny Him.
Second, we remember that one day we are going to give an account to God. And at that point God’s going to say, “What did you say in that conversation? What did you say in that conversation at work? What did you say to your friend at work?” So remember:
Remember that integrity is more important than popularity. Never give up your integrity. Speak the truth, and let the chips fall.
We are not saved by our good works, but once we are saved we are to follow Christ's example and do good works. We will be rewarded for everything we did with a right motive.
Remember this when the time for accounting comes.
To be positive in your final audit, always remember this D-Group.
Let us close in prayer:
Lord God, You speak the truth and declare what is right. We praise You, the God of Truth and author of the book of truth. Thank you for guiding us through Your Word. It tells us how much You abhor dishonesty. Lord, do not let falsehood to hinder my prayers and lead us away from the temptation to be people-pleasers. Let us speak the truth from our hearts so we can enjoy being in Your presence. We ask Your forgiveness for the times we have been dishonest. I Please send Your Spirit to guide me in all I say and do. I want to be a reflection of You. I ask that our family here will be characterized by integrity. Thank you for Your promise to watch over us when we choose the path of righteousness for our lives. This we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
