3. Theo Toki
Stavrou
Seventeen years as a Graphic Designer
and Art Director has been an incredible
ride in an ever-changing space. I love it!
Growth, change and challenge – that’s
what I’m looking for in a role.
Who am I? My name is Theo Toki. I’m
a highly motivated problem solver, a
designer who says ‘yes’, a hard worker
with exceptional graphic design skills.
You haven’t got time to hold my hand
and that’s fine. Just give me a task
and I’ll get to work. I believe in pushing
myself to craft something and I’m forever
looking for ways to grow my skills. Got
constructive feedback on my work?
I’ll action it.
I’ve worked with some of the world’s
biggest brands in Fashion, food and
beverage, sport, tourism, FMCG and
manufacturing. I’ve worked on everything
from corporate ID, advertising (print,
online, TV), print collateral, packaging,
POS, exhibitions and web.
Where am I
headed?
No matter the project, I always want to be
able to stand behind my work and say, “I
did that.” I set extremely high standards
for myself and I want to work within an
environment with this same focus on
quality. I want to bring true value to the
team I join, both with my, ‘it can be done’
attitude and my work.
With the runs I’ve put on the board,
I’d like to evolve into a role where I can
mentor and lead an innovative team,
producing high quality, effective work
for clients big and small.
Runs on
the board…
Helped the Footcare insole range
become the largest Insole manufacturer
in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere
through strategically sound design
solutions. Helped grow the product range
from 8 SKUs to over 50.
Complete rebranding of iconic Australian
brand Holeproof. Working closely with
the Pacific Brands marketing team, we
developed a brand mark that delivered a
sense of strength and confidence, while
retaining recognisable elements to ensure
consumers would connect it with the
previous incarnation. I then developed a
complete range of packaging for men’s
underwear and socks.
Refresh of another classic Australian
brand – Explorer socks. I was tasked with
marrying the Holeproof branding with
Explorer, establishing a clear hierarchy
then designing exciting, new packaging
to really deliver the sense of a technically
supreme product on shelf.
Created new branding for Pink Lady
Apples, including the brand mark, style
guidelines and all marketing collateral.
Developed a range of women’s
toiletries, which has been showcased
internationally.
What are my
strengths?
I’m versatile. That means I can produce
great design regardless of the project
type or budget.
Go to Whoa! I can design a project from
brief to design to finished artwork ready
for press.
I know Adobe like the back of my hand.
I’ll get it done through time management
and great organisational skills.
Whether it’s written or verbal, I’m a great
communicator.
Attention to detail – it’s my work, its my
responsibility to make sure it’s right.
Juggling. Not with knives but tasks. I can
multi-task, be pro-active & think laterally.
Meet the brief and them some. The client
brief is the starting point. I work to meet it
then work to expand the opportunity.
I’m happy to work within constraints.
I’ll design within the parameters of
the project briefs, time and budget
constraints.
I believe in the power of teams so
I’m a team player. I’ll help and support
my fellow creatives AND the Account
Managers.
I can build relationships. When clients
trust you, it’s amazing what you can
achieve. I work with them, to understand
their brand, their category and their
objectives to formulate ideas and
solutions that work across all mediums.
