Hello Susan and everyone,
My name is Thane Heins and I am the CEO of a Canadian R&D company, Potential Difference Inc.
I am writing to you today to introduce the IEEE Spectrum to two new US patented electric vehicle charging
innovations (and an electric power generation innovation) which our company is now licensing globally.
And to invite the Spectrum Magazine, MIT, Queen's University and City University of New York to a live
technology demonstration at everyone's convenience.
A live technology demonstration is an essential element which serves two important purposes because;
1) it will be very difficult or virtually impossible to accept anything being presented here,
2) and a live technology demonstration, personal technology scrutinization and validation will make everything
that is being presented here impossible to dismiss although the IEEE may decide to ignore it as some have
previously chosen to do.
Hopefully current global conditions might compel new interest and evaluation?
Our original scientific discovery was initially validated at MIT by Dr. Markus Zahn in 2008 and the backing theory
and technology advancements were developed in the Power Lab at the University of Ottawa from 2008 - 2010.5
under direct supervision of Dr. Riadh Habash.
Our three US patents granted to date were filed and defended brilliantly by MIT trained EE and US patent agent
Leslie Virany who is currently perusing his PhD in Physics at the City University of New York. Leslie's decision to
return to school was inspired in part by his many years of work on our innovations.
The electric vehicle charging innovation being presented here is called Electric Vehicle Regenerative
Acceleration and it contains two very important new technological innovations, new engineering practices, new
scientific advancements, new laws of physics and a "new" clean endlessly renewable energy source.
As Dr. Habash often used to say to demonstration recipients at Ottawa University prior to their live demo, "this
innovation represents at least three new chapters in physics books."
2. Mike Brace, Mechanical Engineer and Tech Editor at EV World suggested following a live two-day technology
demonstration that, "our discoveries, may require a complete rewriting of all the laws of Electricity and
Magnetism."
It is my belief that you will all eventually conclude that both sentiments are correct.

Technology #1 ReGen-X Quantum Motor Innovation:
(please see video demonstrations below)
The ReGen-X Quantum Motor is the world's first and only electric motor innovation which has the capacity to
perform work without requiring any externally supplied electric input energy.
The ReGen-X Quantum Motor has the capacity to produce Mechanical Output, to perform Positive Work,
increase its own Kinetic Energy, accelerate itself in other words while requiring zero externally supplied
electrical input energy in the process.
The ReGen-X Quantum Motor performs Positive Work at infinite efficiency, but it does not violate the Work-
Energy Principle.
The ReGen-X Quantum Motor has the novel ability to harnesses created Electromagnetic Field Energy which is
created at the Sub-Atomic Electron level (due to an electron's spin and rotation around the nucleus of its atom).
This internally created energy becomes externalized around a current bearing conductor when an
Electromotive Force (EMF or Voltage) is applied to the conductor and charged particles (electrons) produce
electron current flow in the conductor.
In all conventional electric generators this Sub-Atomic created Electron Energy performs Negative Work,
reducing the Kinetic Energy of the prime mover, (EV regenerative braking), decelerating itself according to a law
of physics called Lenz's Law.
In the ReGen-X Quantum Motor and the ReGenX Electric Generator innovations this Sub-Atomic created
Electron Energy performs Positive Work, accelerating itself and increasing the Kinetic Energy of the prime
mover and or the Kinetic Energy of an EV.
The primary difference between conventional electric generator performance (deceleration, Negative Work,
Kinetic Energy reduction) and the ReGen-X Quantum Motor/ReGenX Generator (acceleration, Positive Work,
Kinetic Energy increase) is the introduction of a Load Current Delay into the generator's operation.
The energy source in both cases is exactly the same created and externalized Sub-Atomic Electron Energy
(Electromagnetic Field Energy) - the only difference in the type of work performed be it Positive Work or
Negative Work is the Timing of the Load Current.
3. The ReGenX Generator's Load Current Delay is a product of increased frequency of operation which causes the
ReGenX Generator Coil (inductor) to cease to store its created and externalized Sub-Atomic Electron Energy
externally around the coil in the Electromagnetic Field as specified by Lenz's Law and to transition to storing the
same created Sub-Atomic Electron Energy internally (capacitively) and temporarily in the Electrostatic Field
between the windings of the ReGenX Generator Coil.
When operated above the Critical Minimum Frequency of Operation - which is required to deliberately cause
the increased coil Impedance to choke and delay current flow in the ReGen-X Quantum Motor/ReGenX
Generator, the coil's two existing load current time delays (inductor 5 Time Constant Rise Time, and core
Hysteresis) are extended by anther Capacitive Charge Time delay.
Above; the Critical Minimum Frequency of Operation, the ReGen-X Quantum Motor/ReGenX Generator Coil
operates as a Multi-Parallel Plate Capacitor, it produces a Load Current Delay which is sufficient enough to
produce Positive Work and system acceleration, Kinetic Energy increase with created Electromagnetic Field
Energy and below; the Critical Minimum Frequency of Operation the ReGenX Generator Coil operates like any
other conventional generator coil where Negative Work is performed and system deceleration, Kinetic Energy
reduction results. Created Sub-Atomic Electron Energy (Electromagnetic Field Energy) is the energy source in
both cases.
Since 1834, Lenz's Law (Newton's Third Law) has described in detail how created Sub-Atomic Electron Energy
(Electromagnetic Field Energy) performs Negative Work reducing the Kinetic Energy of the "changing magnetic
field" which originally induces the EMF in the current bearing wire according to Faraday's Law of Induction.
Colloquially referenced electric vehicle regenerative "braking" is not breaking at all in the Newtonian
Mechanics sense but rather it is Negative Motor Action in a Generator (Generator Armature Reaction) in
Electro-Mechanics.
The Negative Work or Negative Motor Action performed by all electric generators when they reduce the Kinetic
Energy of an electric vehicle or the prime mover in electric power generation is always being performed by
created Sub-Atomic Electron Energy (Electromagnetic Field Energy) as dictated by the Work-Energy Principle.
The global scientific community's 200-year-old assertion that Negative Work, Kinetic Energy reduction can be
performed inside all electric generators for free and without energy (at infinite efficiency) in direct violation of
the Work-Energy Principle requires re-examination, re-evaluation and correction.
...This is due to the fact that our ReGen-X Quantum Motor and ReGenX Generator innovations both perform
Positive Work, Kinetic Energy increases, system acceleration for free with created energy also at infinite
efficiency.
The long-held albeit incorrect assumption that "energy cannot be created" also requires re-examination and
correction due to the simple fact that electric vehicle regenerative "braking" (EV Kinetic Energy reduction)
could never be produced if an energy source was absent and or not created.
The Work-Energy Principle would indeed be violated every time during EV regenerative Negative Motor Action
and Negative Work could actually be performed at infinite efficiency without energy...
The ReGen-X Quantum Motor is essentially just a ReGenX Generator Coil with a zero-resistance load applied to
it (a short circuit).
4. In this configuration the ReGen-X Quantum Motor Coil produces the maximum current flow, the strongest
created and Time Delayed Electromagnetic Field Energy, maximum acceleration, maximum Positive Work, and
the largest Kinetic Energy increase all at infinite efficiency.
In all conventional generators a dead short circuit would produce the maximum current flow, the strongest
created and externalized Electromagnetic Field Energy, maximum deceleration, maximum Negative Work, and
the largest Kinetic Energy decrease also at infinite efficiency.
In EV applications the ReGen-X Quantum Motor produces the maximum EV acceleration, maximum Motor
Action with zero input energy supplied by the EV's batteries at infinite efficiency.
No input energy to mechanical output conversion is taking place in the ReGen-X Quantum Motor.

The ReGenX Generator is the world's first and only electric generator innovation which has the capacity to
generate electricity without requiring any mechanical input energy.
The ReGenX Generator simultaneously generates electric output power and it also performs Mechanical Work,
performing Positive Work, increasing its own Kinetic Energy, accelerating itself while requiring zero externally
supplied Mechanical Input and zero Electrical Input energy in the process.
As is explained above; all conventional electric generators also perform Mechanical Work but their work is
Negative Work. The Negative Work performed by conventional electric generators is the primary contributor to
air pollution, C02 and the high cost of generating and consuming electricity.
100% of all the air pollution and C02 produced during fossil-fuel electric power generation is a direct result of
the Negative Work performed by created and externalized Electromagnetic Field Energy inside the electric
generators.
The ReGenX Generator is the world's first and only electric generator innovation that has the capacity to
generate electricity while requiring zero mechanical input energy and while operating at infinite efficiency.
When combined together in an electric vehicle the ReGen-X Quantum Motor and ReGenX Generator have the
capacity to:
1. reverse electric vehicle regenerative braking,
2. accelerate the EV without battery power consumption in ReGen-X Quantum Motor Mode,
3. accelerate the EV while recharging the EV's batteries in Regenerative Acceleration Mode
4. recharge the EV's batteries while decelerating the EV in regenerative braking mode,
5. and to produce an EV prototype where battery recharge rate currently exceeds 99%.
When employed during electric power generation the ReGenX Generator has the capacity to:
1. eliminate the mechanical input power required during electricity generation,
2. eliminate the prime mover input energy required during electricity generation,
3. eliminate 100% of the air pollution and C02 produced during fossil-fuel electricity generation
4. eliminate the input energy cost requirement incurred during electricity generation.
