Draft ReGenX Generator Innovation Technology and Commercialization Readiness Report
1. DRAFT ReGenX Generator Innovation
Technology Performance and Commercialization
Readiness Report
October 9, 2020
2. Introduction
All conventional electric generators in the marketplace today require massive amounts of mechanical
input power when they are generating electrical output power. There is a huge financial and
environmental cost associated with the input energy required in order to generate the electricity
required for the global population.
All conventional electric generators operate at less than 100% efficiency.
Potential Difference Inc. has developed and is now commecializing a new US patented electric
generator innovation which does not require any mechanical input power from the prime mover when
it is placed on load and when delivering any amount of electric power to a load.
The ReGenX Generator coil is differentiated from conventional generator coils in that it operates with a
Load Current Delay.
The ReGenX Generator operates at infinite efficiency in its generation of electricity.
It is universally accepted by the scientific community that energy cannot be created.
The ReGenX Generator employs Induced Electromagnetic Field Energy to perform Positive Work
which accelerates (increases the Kinetic Energy of the prime mover) when the generator is placed on
load.
According to the Work-Energy Principle this Electromagnetic Field Energy is energy which is being
created and it is the energy source which is required to perform this Positive Work.
It is universally accepted that all conventional electric generators can currently violate the Work-
Energy Principle and perform Negative Work (deceleration of the prime mover) without energy.
The truth is that all conventional electric generators cannot violate the Work-Energy Principle and the
Negative Work which is performed by them is being performed by (Electromagnetic Field Energy) that
is being created.
Proposed Report Conclusions
The pending ability to generate virtually any amount of electricity for the planet forever with zero
mechanical input power, zero financial input cost, while producing zero C02 emmissions and zero air
pollution should be explored and confirmed.
The ability to initiate immediate manufacturing of ReGenX Generators and ReGen-X Motors for power
generation and electric mobility should be explored and confirmed.
The abiity of the Electric Vehicle Regenerative Acceleration innovation to simultaneously recharge and
accelerate an electric vehicle should be explored and confirmed.
3. Proposed ReGenX Generating Testing Protocol
1) The generator is brought up to rotational equilibrium by the prime mover.
2) It is understood that at rotational equilibrium the net power in the generator's drive shaft is 0
Watts.
3) This is because the mechanical input power to the generator in the drive shaft is the drive shaft's
torque x the speed.
4) And at rotational equilibrium the net torque is 0 Nm and therefore the drive shaft power is also 0
Watts.
5) When the generator is placed on load the prime mover input power consumption is observed.
6) If the prime mover's power consumption increases: it means that the prime mover is supplying
additional mechanical input power to the generator's drive shaft in response to the negative work
being performed by the generator.
6a) Prime mover input power consumption increase is due to an increase in current to the prime
mover which is due to a n increase in the slip angle between the prime mover's rotor and stator and
which produces a reduction in rotor bemf induced flux on the stator coil which allows more current to
flow to the stator coil and for a stronger magnetic field to be produced around the stator coil and for
the prime mover to perform more mechanical work on the generator's drive shaft.
7) An accurate measurement of the prime mover's input power consumption increase can be observed
and recorded.
8) The black box efficiency of the system can be deduced by dividing the generator's output power
supplied to a load connected to the generator by the prime mover's input power increase.
9) This conventional generator black box efficiency number will be less than 100% under these
conditions.
10) The actual generator efficiency (or actual motor mechanical power delivered to the generator) can
be determined mathematically by multiplying the prime mover's input power increase by the efficiency
of the prime mover at the speed of operation which can be done using the prime mover's torque and
power vs speed graph characteristics.
11) Action item #10 is irrelevant for this evaluation as will be explained below.
12) The testing protocol must determine and explain why the prime mover responded by
consuming additional input power when the generator was placed on load.
13) It will be observed that the generator is performing negative work on the prime mover and
decreasing its kinetic energy when the generator is placed on load.
14) The magnitude of the negative work performed by the generator on the prime mover exactly
equals the prime mover's input power increase x the prime mover's efficiency at the speed of
operation.
15) The testing protocol must determine what the energy source is that is responsible for the
generator's performing the negative work on the prime mover.
4. 16) The answer to this question is provided by observing the ReGenX Generator performance.
17) If the prime mover's power consumption decreases as it does when the ReGenX Generator is
paced on load: it means that the prime mover is supplying less mechanical input power to the
generator's drive shaft (less than 0.00 Watts) in response to the positive work being performed by the
generator.
18) At rotational equilibrium on no load at idle the power in the drive shaft is 0 Watts.
19) If the prime mover's input power consumption does not increase when the ReGenX Generator is
placed on load then it means that the prime mover is not supplying an increase in the drive shaft's
mechanical input power to the generator.
20) And it means that mathematically the mechanical input power to the ReGenX Generator when on
load and when delivering power to a load remains at 0 Watts.
21) It is observed in fact that the prime mover's input power consumption decreases when the
ReGenX Generator is placed on load.
22) This means that the mechanical input power to the ReGenX Generator when on load is less than
0.00 Watts or less than was required on no load at idle.
23) Since it is observed that the prime mover's input power consumption does not increase when the
ReGenX Generator is placed on load and since the mechanical drive shaft power is zero at no load at
rotational equilibrium then the mechanical input power in the drive shaft must remain at 0 watts when
the ReGenX Generator is on load.
24) The efficiency of the ReGenX Generator under these conditions is infinite efficiency.
25) During observation of item #21 it is observed that the prime mover's input power consumption
decreases when the ReGenX Generator is placed on load to a value that is less than was required in
order to establish rotational equilibrium at idle on no load.
26) It is also observed that the speed (kinetic energy) of the system has increased.
27) It is understood that the slip angle between the prime mover's rotor and stator is decreased when
the prime mover is accelerated and it is understood that this induces the observable decrease in prime
mover input power consumption.
28) The question the evaluation must answer is, what is causing the kinetic increase of the prime
mover and the entire system?
29) And furthermore and according to the Work-Energy Principle, what is the energy source required
to perform the kinetic energy increase?
30) The answer to item question #15 and item question #29 can be arrived at by simultaneously
evaluating the load current sine waves of the conventional generator coil (#5,6,7,8,9) vs the regenx
generator (#17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24).
31) It will be observed that the load current sine wave for the regenx generator coil is delayed in the
time domain by between 50 and 90 degrees when compared the the load current sine wave for the
conventional generator coil under identical conditions such as speed and load and coil excitation.
5. 32) It can be deduced that the magnetic field energy created around the conventional generator coil
when current flows in the coil to the load is the energy source which is responsible for performing the
negative work (system deceleration, system kinetic energy reduction).
33) It can also be deduced that the magnetic field energy created around the ReGenX Generator coil
when current flows in the coil to the load is the energy source which is responsible for performing the
positive work (system acceleration, system kinetic energy increase).
34) In both cases the negative work and the positive work are both performed by energy which is
created.
35) In fact the created energy is the same in both cases but the manifestation of the timing of the
created energy is what differentiates between less than 100% system efficiency and infinite system
efficiency performance.
36) It is also observed that when the ReGenX Generator is operated below the coil's critical minimum
frequency of operation infinite efficiency of operation is not observed and less than 100% efficiency is
observed.
37) Validation of the ReGenX Generator includes validation of infinite efficiency performance and
validation that energy can be created.
38) Induced electromagnetic field energy (and the timing of the creation of said energy) is the energy
source which performs both the negative and positive work in all cases of generator performance i.e.,
Conventional generator on load, ReGenX Generator on load acceleration performance above the
critical minimum frequency and regenx generator on load deceleration performance below the critical
minimum frequency.
39) This created energy can be innocuously harnessed via flux harvesting.
40) Flux harvesting entails harvesting created electromagnetic field energy from the exterior of one
generator coil and distributing that created energy into an adjacent coil and vice versa such that the
created electromagnetic field energy performs both mechanical work (accelerating or decelerating the
system) and electrical work increasing the electric power delivered by each individual coil.
41) Evaluation of the ReGenX Generator innovation entails validating the flux harvesting feature.
41) Evaluation of ReGenX Generator infinite efficiency performance includes evaluation of generator
coil impedance as it pertains to increasing and decreasing frequency of operation or the critical
minimum frequency of operation range for the coil.
42) This evaluation has important implications with regards to electric vehicle applications and use of
the regenx generator coil as a regenerative acceleration generator coil or a regenerative braking
generator coil in an EV.
43) This performance can be observed using the ebike regenerative acceleration prototype above 30
km/hr in regenerative acceleration mode and below 30 km/hr in regenerative braking mode.
44) Once it is observed and accepted that electromagnetic field energy is being created in both
conventional and regenx generators and that this energy performs negative and or positive work
depending on the timing of the creation of said energy, evaluations of the bi-toroid transformer and the
regenx-x motor can be more easily accomplished.
6. 45) The Bi-Toroid Transformer delays in the time domain and diverts in the physical domain
electromagnetic field energy that is being created in the secondary coils in order for it to operate at
infinite efficiency.
46) The ReGen-X Motor recycles electromagnetic field energy that is being created around the motor
coil in order to simultaneously produce both mechanical power and electric power.
