2. This is my contents page plan. I like this plan as it simple but effective as the layout is spacious and visible I have included conventions in the plan which are in many magazines contents pages – Subscription details
3. Stage 1 I have used the same background as I used on my front cover and my feature article so the colour scheme is running through the 3 pages I thought having the website down the side was a good effect as it takes up less space for pictures and text, however I didn’t like the colours used on the ‘contents page’ and the website name so I later changed it. I also added a picture and a quote from the article so the feature article page would stand out
4. Stage 2 I have changed the colours as I felt that it didn’t full meet the colour scheme I was aiming for with the original colours. I believe these colours are a lot more successful and it makes the page look brighter I used this picture for my contents page as it connotes the fact it is an indie/rock magazine with the ‘peace’ hand sign. The picture is big too which is a good choice as it supports that it is the main feature in the magazine; the artists’ story
5. Stage 3 I added the brown background as it was the only colour that was not featured in my contents page which was featured in my front cover and feature article. I made a logo as the logo of professional magazines are always on the contents page, so to add the realism of the magazine, I created one using the first letter of the magazine, ‘F’. I also added another picture to have a side story so it wouldn’t just all be text.
6. Stage 4 (Final Stage) This is my final Contents Page. I’m pleased with the outcome of my final contents page. As you can see, I have added indie bands and side stories to connote that there is a lot more in the magazine, not just a feature article. Throughout the contents page, I have used the colour scheme to blend everything in together. It fits with the rest of the magazine and it has took the longest to finish but I believe it has been worth it in the long run
