At Loan Simple we have been guided by
an unwritten set of values, beliefs, and
principles. Though the words used to describe
them vary from person to person their core
meaning is resolute.
We want to incorporate these values, as a
formal part of our company’s DNA. Our Core
Purpose, Vision, and Mission become our
genetic code. They reinforce what we already
know and practice and inform others as
we grow.

To contemplate our Purpose, Vision, and Mission
it is important to reflect on what it is that we
“do”. It is easy to focus on the work, the actual steps in
the process and lose sight of the role we play.
The purchase of a home represents far more than walls,
windows, and doors. It represents family, friendships,
communities, and memories. It represents safety,
security, and retirement. It represents an envisioned
future that is better than today.
The reality is that the average home in America costs
$228,000 and the median American household has
$4,830 in savings. In a lifetime, very few Americans could
ever save enough to buy a home if the mortgage did
not exist. Even fewer would be able to afford a home
early enough to experience all that makes owning a
home such a defining part of one’s life.

Unfortunately, as an industry, we have
become so good at what we do that we
have allowed our great work to become
routine. We have allowed our proficiency and the
proliferation of providers to diminish the value we place
on our work.
There are millions of firefighters fighting millions of fires
but no one would argue this makes fighting a fire
less critical. There are millions of teachers in millions of
schools but no one would argue this reduces their
impact on society.
The number of people doing the work and the quantity
of work being done does not change the value of
the work.
