2. Purpose of making this power point presentation is to know :
What is electrical devices?
What is electronics devices?
Difference between electrical and electronics devices.
Different types of electrical devices used at home.
Different types of electronics devices used at home.
3. • Electrical devices are defined as devices that use or
generate electricity and transform it into another form of
energy, such as motion, heat or light.
• Electrical equipment includes any machine powered by
electricity. It usually consists of an enclosure, a variety of
electrical components, and often a power switch.
4. >The device which controls the flow of electrons is called
electronic device. These devices are the main building blocks
of electronic circuits.
• Electronics have various branches include, digital
electronics, analog electronics, micro electronics,
optoelectronics, integrated circuit and semiconductor
device . Examples:- smartphones, headphones, camera,
landline etc.
5. • Electrical devices lack decision
making like a electric heater
can’t take decision.
• Electrical devices work with AC
• Electric devices work with
minimum 110V.
• Electrical devices work with
high voltage & current .
• Electrical devices produces
current & voltage .
• Electric devices deals with
motor and transformer etc.
• Electronic devices can take
decision like a mobile phone
can take decision.
• Electronics devices work with
DC.
• Electronics devices work with
minimum 5V .
• Electronic devices work with
low voltage & current.
• Electronic devices control
current & voltage.
• Electronic devices deals with
semiconductor, transistors .

7. • Ceiling fan is a Single phase Induction motor.
Generally we use a capacitor start & run AC
Motor for ceiling Fans.
8.
9. • Whenever current carrying conductor is placed
in a magnetic field-it experiences force. AC
motor needs a rotating magnetic field in order
to turn the rotor shaft. In a single phase system
capacitor is used to provide a phase shift in the
windings of the motor.
10. • Process of converting electrical energy to heat
energy.
• Consist of electric resistor.
• Working principle : Joule heating(electrical
current passing through electrical resistor
convert electrical energy to heat energy).
• Modern electrical heating use nichromewire
supported by ceramic insulator.
13. >An incandescent bulb is an electric light that
emits light with a tungsten filament wire heated to
a high temperature containing inert gas until it
glows by consuming electrical energy .
>Electrical consumption is very high.
Around 90% of electrical energy is in
then form of heat rather then visible
Light.
14. CFL (compact fluorescent lamp) is a fluorescent
lamp, using a tube curved or folded to fit into the
base of the bulb which has a compact electronic
ballast in it.
Contain toxic mercury

17. • “LED” is the abbreviation of “light-emitting
diode”. It is a semiconductor PN junction light
source which could emit light when a current
moves through it.
Made from direct gab semiconductor such as
gallium arsenide, gallium phosphide, silicon
carbide etc.

21. • A flash drive consists of a small printed circuit
board carrying the circuit elements and a USB
connector, insulated electrically and protected
inside a plastic, metal, or rubberized case which
can be carried in a pocket or on a key chain.
22. • The internal circuitry of the pen drive draws
power from the computer for its operation. They
have an integrated USB interface to
communicate with the computer. The important
parts of the pen drive are USB connector, crystal
oscillator(quartz crystal behave like RLC), led ,
memory chips and a controller to interact with
the PC.
• Data Traveler HyperX Predator 3.0 will be
Available Up to 1TB.
23. • All electronic audio systems are based around
one very simple concept: To take sound waves,
convert them into an electrical signal and
manipulate them as desired by amplifier , then
convert them back into sound waves.
25. • Transducer - A device which converts energy from one
form into another. The two types of transducers we will
deal with are microphones (which convert acoustical
energy into electrical energy) and speakers (which convert
electrical energy into acoustical energy).
• Amplifier - A device which takes a signal and increases its
power (i.e. it increases the amplitude).
