creation and performance in the arts (dance, music, theatre and
visual arts) and participate in various roles in the arts.

Can I apply this to other areas?
Why not? Using the iMovie app (or any film
app) to create a film to explore any topic is a fine
way to teach anything. Students still have to
demonstrate skills. Scan this and you will have
another example:

Refer to the packet “Make a Movie! Be a Star!”
• Break into groups of 3-4 (give or take)
• Name your production company
• Invent 3 wonderful ideas, then choose the best one (be nice)
• Create characters
• Write an outline
• Write a script based on the outline
• Break up script into scenes
Your turn continued
• Draw scenes on a storyboard
• Film the movie
• Edit as necessary, add music if desired
• Create credits
• Present a film screening
• Celebrate by contacting Hollywood agent and
pursuing new career
