The document announces a digestive system projects competition for four groups in each class. Two groups will complete project 1 modeling the entire digestive system, while two groups will complete project 2 modeling the inside of the small intestine. The teacher will choose one winner and one second place group for each project, with the winner receiving an A and second place likely receiving a B or less. The projects are worth 50 points and are due on different dates for each class.
1. Digestive System Projects Competition
Four groups in each class. Two groups will
do project 1, and two groups will do
project 2. If you are doing project 1,
you will be competing with the other
group doing project 1. If you are doing
project 2, you will be competing with
the other group doing project 2. I will
pick two winners. Winners will get an
“A” on the project, second place will
probably get a “B” or less. Worth 50
points!
Project 1: Make a model of the entire
digestive system, including accessory
organs. You can use any material you
want: cloth, plastic, wood, etc, but
make it look like the digestive system.
Put your project on a poster board or
future board, and label the organs
and list their functions.

2. Project 2: Make a model
showing the INSIDE of
the small intestine. You
will of course have to
focus on showing the
villi. You can use any
material you would like:
clay, paper, tape, paint
etc. I suggest a box
project covered on the
top with a THIN piece
of paper that will let
the light in.
