2. About the the earthquake the
Kermadec in of New Zealand
● the New Zealand earthquake happened in
Kamadec islands region of NewZealand at 19:03
GMT on Wednesday.
● The quake was centered 161km east of Raoul
island of the Kermadec Islands and so on.
● The epicenter was at a depth of 20 km.
● The earthquake were measure 7.6 on the Richter
scale but no damage have been repoted so far.

3. The information catched the U.S.
Tsunami Warning Center
● The U.S. Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has
issued a non-expanding regical tsunami warning
for the Kermadec Islands, New Zealand and the
Pacific nation of Tonga.
● The center said "the tsunami may have been
destructive along coastlines of the region near the
earthquake epicenter."

4. The action in the New Zealand
● New Zealand's Civil Defense has warned people
in New Zealand's Nothern plenty regions such as
East Coast and Hawkes bay of a tsunami.
● The National Crisis Management Center has been
activated and Civil Defense said the first wave to
arrive will reach the New Zealand at 8:52 a.m. on
Thursday.
● The Civil Defense said people in coastal area,
stay of the beach, escape from reached a
tsunami.

5. The wave reaching New Zealand's
Kermadec Islands
● The height of the wave reaching New Zealand's
Kermadec Islands and having is between 60cm
and 1 meter tall.
● East cape will be the first place to be able to see
the wave at about 8:52 a.m., North Cape st 8:54
a.m. and Gisborne at 8:59 a.m..
● And then it is expected to arrive in Auckland at
about 10 a.m..

● Civil Defense didn't expect a strong tsunami and
found a wall of water enough to endure the
tsunami.
● The first wave may not be largest but waves will
continue for several hours.
● The Karmadic Islands have no permanent
population and only small New Zealand

7. My feeling to read this article (1)
● The tsunami warning from New Zealand's Civil
Defense is best warning.
● But New Zealand's Civil Defence hadn't supposed
a such tsunami will come the Karmadic Islands.
● Because of it, the Karmadic Islands hadn't
prepared countermesures against a such tsunami
and had a countermeasures headquarters.

8. My feeling to read this article (2)
● The Kermadec Islands had needed the wall of
water enough to endure a strong tsunami and a
countermeasures headquarters against a strong
tsunami.
● In case of the Tohoku earthquake, damage of the
tsunami coming Japan is as dangerous
as the tsunami coming the Kermadic Islands.
● Because, The tsunami hadn't estimated by their
country own in both of the cases.
