Intro
1. Intro:
It’s pretty awesome how your life can change overnight, one day you’re
dreaming of being in a film the next you’ve bagged a role in the next box
office film! That’s what happened to 18 year old Sarah Browne.
Sarah Browne isan up and coming actress from Manchester, who now
lives in her dream city Paris. She has taken time out of her busy schedule
to be interviewed about her new role in the filmThe Perks of being a
Wallflower. She has only ever had small acting roles in the film industry
so this is a big step in her career, and she’s hoping this will set her acting
career off.Her passion for acting started at a young age when she used to
perform plays for her family, and performed in school plays and most of
the time she had the lead role. She also took on science and English in
college and wanted to carry it on in university to become a Marine
Biologist but when she got the role in The Perks of Being a Wallflower she
dropped everything to peruse her dream in acting. When she was growing
up she loved watching Marilyn Monroe films and she quickly became an
idol to her. She was one of the reasons she wanted to have a career in
acting. Sarah isn’t afraid to stand out from the crowd and be herself.
Sarah says having her family around her helps keep her grounded.
Questions.
1) Who was the best director you’ve worked for so far?
I enjoyed working with Peter Jackson because he has good films
ideas and changed some of the script to fit me more. Also he got me
out of my comfort zone and got me to do things I wouldn’t have
done before.
2) What’s the best film you’ve acted in?
I can’t honestly choose a favourite because they’ve all been such
amazing films and I’ve enjoyed every character I’ve been chosen to
play.
3) What inspired you to be an actress?
I liked the idea of being able to be different types of people and
being able to act in well-known films. Like when you see an actress
in one film and she’s this happy outgoing girl and in another film
she’s a completely different person to what you normally see her
like.
4) Who’s been your favourite actor/actress to work with?
2. I’ve had the pleasure of working with some amazing actors and
actresses so I couldn’t possibly choose.
5) What’s the hardest role you’ve had to play?
I once had to play a character that had been through a lot so she
was kind of messed up, it was hard trying to get into that character
and it pushed me to the limit in some scenes.
6) What do you do when our not acting?
When I’m not acting I mostly hang with my friends and family as I’m
away filming a lot so I don’t get to see them as often as I used to.
7) What do you do to get into certain roles?
If the character role is one I’ve never done before I often watch
films with similar roles then try to re-enact it in front of the mirror,
and this normally helps me get into character.
8) What was it like when you got the role for the film?
I couldn’t believe it, I was over the moon and so happy. I loved the
book so being able to be part of the film was amazing.
