SICI 2014 Summit was successfully held on 7th & 8th August 2014
5th Annual Sustainability in Design & Construction India Summit 2014 was
successfully held on 7th & 8th of August 2014 at Ritz Carlton Hotel, Bangalore India.
During the opening ceremony, Shri. S. Sampathraman, President of FKCCI, Mr. M.
Selvarasu, Conference Chairman and Director - LEAD Consultancy & Engineering
Services (India), Mr. Karan Grover - Principal, Karan Grover & Associates, Ms. Brinda
Somaya from Somaya & Kalappa Consultants, Mr. Krishnarao Jaisim from Jaisim
Fountainhead and Dr. P.N. Ravindra, Head of New Initiatives, BWSSB, Bangalore
inaugurated the summit by lighting the lamp followed by an opening speech from
the chairperson Mr. M. Selvarasu.
Shri. S. Sampathraman, President of Federation of Karnataka Chambers of
Commerce & Industries graced the Summit and enlightened the audience about
the implications for climate change as far as the building sector is concerned. He
emphasized the need for stringent focus on sustainability and conservation of
resources.

the highlights of the event. Industrial Experts & LEAD consultants gave wonderful
presentations during this 2 day event. Meantime students also participated and
contributed valuable insights.

sustainability an inbuilt part of the design process as well as to upkeep all sustainable components in the post – occupancy stage. The emphasis
was on sustaining and monitoring the maintenance of built projects, redesigning of existing projects for efficacy of energy & water consumption,
