Is the Strategy/MVV consistent across stakeholders?
Is it a business plan or description or is it a strategy?
What is the activity
map of the
organization?
4 to 6 strategic principles (i.e. high touch service) supported by linked activities (i.e. extensive investment in sales staffing)
Are all of the activities consistent with the strategy?
How do activities strengthen and reinforce each other?
Examine communication and coordination between activities
If you do not have
common understanding
of an actual strategy, or
if you do not have fit
among activities:
You do NOT have a sustainable strategic plan
You may be running on inertia or in deeply grooved ruts of previous success
Watch for: high levels of employee stress, lack of empowerment, silos, missed targets, low buy in into organizational goals, rising
claim costs, dropping customer satisfaction levels.
