PROJECT #1: DB LASER. Joined on Dec 2009 – June 2012 and was involved in the below.

Description:
Deutsche Bank’s Investment Banking IT team started the Leveraged Application Service
Rationalization (LASER) Program to provide a uniform worldwide production support and change
model framework for business IT applications.
LASER is a Target Operating Model based initiative that aims to transform the operational model
for RTB (Run the Bank) and CTB (Change the Bank) projects for Deutsche Bank, including Project
and Program Management to provide an end-to-end managed services to the bank for a portfolio of
300+ applications and CTB services in the Settlement business domain of Deutsche Bank.
Synthetic equity finance (SEF) applications mainly deal with swaps and FX trading. Laser
receives the feeds (trade details) on daily basis from many upstream systems. The data will be first
verified and then loaded into the database. SSIS packages are called for loading the data which is
received in XL sheet into the database. Once the data upload is completed, reconciliation process is
started. Once the reconciliation is done reports are provided to the end users/other teams. The
reconciled data will also be reflecting in the UI which is built in VB.
Imhotep is a reconciliation application which deals with trade’s .It has various front office and
back office from which we receive the files and we do the reconciliation. Reconciliation is done for
many regions (UK, US, China, Honk Kong, Frankfurt).The jobs are scheduled in Control-M and the
batches will load the data in the Sybase database using the Perl scripts in UNIX. Once reconciliation is
done breaks are shown on the GUI (Web based GUI) which is built in java.
Equity Reconciliation System (ERS) application deals with position and trade reconciliation.
Jobs are scheduled in Crontab and once reconciliation is done users can view the breaks on GUI
(Developed by HTML).
Responsibilities:
Monitoring the daily batch runs and provide fix in case of any batch failure
Continuously interacting with client for resolving the issues and coming up with a preventive plan (L2
Activities).
Perform Root Cause Analysis and enhancement to the application as per the client requirements (L3
Activities)
Year-end archival process for some of the applications. Year-end archival process is done to move all
the reconciled trades from live rec to Archival rec. This is done based on client requirements
Automating the tasks which involve manual intervention.
Ensure that the best possible levels of service quality and availability are maintained according to the
Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Involved in updating KEDB. (Known Error Database)

3. PROJECT #2: Itech Prod. Joined on July 2012 and currently involved.

Description:
Societe Generale GSC team started providing a uniform production support and change model
framework for business IT applications across Honk Kong and Paris.
AGRISK: The objective of AgRisk is to provide all valuations and risk indicators used by the
front, middle and back office and Risq on their scope. AgRisk means Aggrégateur de Risque (risk
aggregator) and is often called Aggreg.On a global scale, AgRisk is an aggregator and calculation
engine on Forex, rates and credit trades scope.
In this scope it computes the below:
The official Daily Accounting PNL.
Valuation of Risk Indicators.
Value At Risk valuations.
Collateral report and many other reports for FO, MO, BO and Risk team.
Risk One Real Time engine which is a real time risk calculation engine for FO to hedge the trading on
the products of risk calculated.
Highway engine which calculates all exotic products Risk one which calculates valuations for other
than exotic products to provide risk indicators and Mark To Market value to Front Office.
Responsibilities:
Handling a team of 11 members for productions and providing the end result within SLA.
Travel to Paris for a transformation of a particular project to Bangalore as a part of tam co-ordination
and knowledge management.
Interacting more with the Development teams and the other upstream/downstream for Problem tickets
resolution.
Maintenance of proper effort tracking of the team using tracking tools and reviewing it on weekly basis.
Subject matter expert on business process like ValoClient,Collat.
