MISSION
The Electronics Society of NIT Rourkela aims to create a better insight in the fields of Electronics and
equip its members with the deep routed virtues of technical knowledge and providing opportunities to excel
in the field of electronics.
VISION
To make the society a unique platform for the development of technology and design of various electronic
instruments.
OBJECTIVES
To empower the youth with the state-of-the-art knowledge of Electronics and IT and enable them to
respond to the need and challenges of the present world order.
AIMS AND OBJECTS
To provide a platform to members for interaction.
To enucleate the spirit of a true scientist.
To develop practical attitude & experimental skills.
To promote job awareness.
To provide opportunities for enhancing personality.
To promote the culture of sincere efforts, hard work & dedication towards subjects, like Electronics,
Equipment’s by instituting, certificate, awards, and medals.
To establish a online database.
MEANS
1. The society will be maintaining its own website with online database duly updated every weekend.
2. Organizing group discussions and quiz competitions to enable the members to learn the correct way
of presentation of their ideas.

2. 3. Arranging guest lecturers by experts and professors on a wide range of topics.
4. Every member of the society will have to submit at least 1 mini-project in a year during their tenure
in the society except the final year in the institute.
5. All the papers published by IEEE society will also be made available to the students .
6. Organising seminars at regular intervals in order to enhance the technical knowledge of the members.
7. Organising technical events during the technical fest of the institute and all other get-together
functions as well as motivating and arranging teams to participate in all the technical events carried
out in other major colleges of India and aboard.
8. Publishing a electronics magazine every semester.
9. Publishing articles online as well as running a blog for the various courses available in the
department.
10. Availability of study materials as well as reference for all the courses
11. Development of industry based product (prototype) with demo set bearing the brand name
of NITRKL.
12. Organising training/tutorial on advanced technology and various programming language
and software.
FORMATION
The society will be headed by a professor of the Electronics Department followed by a president
and vice-president from the student body.
There would be three wings as follows
1. Administration
(Organising all events and social functions as well as controlling the functions of
other two wings)
2. Technical wing
(Carrying out all the technical events including seminars, projects etc amd
preparations of the same)
3. Media
(Maintaining and updating the online website and data-base as well as promoting
the society including induction of new members)
Any student of NITRKL can join the society as per their will but only the inducted members by the
media wing can be a part of the above mentioned wings.
